A built-in computer for compatible Hisense panels

The Hisense S02EMS5CA21B is an OPS on-board computer: a compact PC module that plugs into the OPS slot of a compatible Hisense interactive display. Once fitted, the panel runs its own Windows 11 Pro environment, so presenters and teachers do not need a separate desktop or laptop cabled to the screen. Hisense has discontinued this model. It remains relevant to organisations that already own it and to buyers who need a matching module for an existing panel. For new purchases, request a quote for a current equivalent.

Specifications that matter for planning

The module is built around a 12th generation Intel Core i5-12450H processor and ships with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The source data lists support for M.2 SATA and NVMe storage, TPM encryption and memory expansion up to 32GB. Wireless connectivity is WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and an integrated 10/100/1000M network port handles wired connections.

On the connection side, the module provides:

• Four USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports
• One HDMI output (version 2.0) and one DisplayPort output (version 1.2)
• One microphone input and one line output

The unit measures 180 x 195 x 30 mm and weighs 1.4 kg. Its power input is listed as 12V to 19V DC, with a maximum draw of 90W and a standby draw of 0.5W. It is black.

Environmental limits and what they mean in Qatar

The operating range is 0°C to 40°C with 10% to 90% humidity, and storage is rated from -20°C to 60°C. Outdoor summer temperatures in Qatar regularly pass 45°C, so the room housing the panel needs dependable air conditioning and the module needs clear airflow. Confirm the installation environment before ordering; the SmartRooms Qatar team can check the room during a free site survey.

Where it fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah refitting its science and computing rooms could fit one module to each compatible panel, so each lesson starts from the screen instead of a shared laptop trolley. A consultancy in West Bay that holds hybrid meetings with colleagues in Riyadh and London could place the module in a boardroom panel and run video calls and shared files on the display itself. A hotel or retail venue in Lusail using a large display as a wayfinding screen could manage content locally, provided its software runs on Windows 11 Pro.

What to plan before you order

• Panel match: the source lists compatible models 65MR6DE, 75MR6DE, 86MR6DE, 65MR6DE-E, 75MR6DE-E, 86MR6DEE, 65MR61DE-E, 75MR61DE-E, 86MR61DE-E and 86X1EE. Check your panel's model number against this list.
• Ports: confirm you need the single HDMI and single DisplayPort output for a second screen or signage feed.
• Power and heat: plan for up to 90W and keep the module inside its 0°C to 40°C range.
• Software: check that your management, security and teaching applications run on Windows 11 Pro before deployment.
