The NEC M861 IGB is an 86-inch interactive display from the MultiSync M Series. Picture and touch performance for a working meeting room
The 3840 x 2160 IPS panel delivers 4K detail across the whole screen. Brightness is rated at 500 cd/m² without the glass, the contrast ratio is at least 8000:1, and colour depth is 10-bit with a 68% DCI gamut. Viewing angles are 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, so people seated at the side of a boardroom see the same content. The 3 mm toughened protective glass carries an anti-glare coating that reduces reflections from windows and ceiling lights and helps with fingerprints on the surface.

Built-in computing, connectivity and room control
Two DisplayPort and two HDMI inputs, all with HDCP, cover laptops, conferencing cameras and presentation PCs. The Open Modular Intelligence slot accepts a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 or an Intel Smart Display Module rated up to 66 W, so a room can run its own software inside the display. Network control runs over a 100 Mbit LAN port, and RS232 and a remote control jack are also fitted. The unit is certified for Crestron Connected and tested compatible with Barco ClickShare (Conference).

Planning the installation
At 76 kg and 1,972 mm wide, the display needs a wall or trolley that can carry its weight, and at least two people to lift it. It has four M8 VESA mounting holes at 600 x 400 mm. Qatar's summer heat matters here. The rated operating range is 0 to +35°C with 20 to 80% humidity, so install it in an air-conditioned room away from direct sun through windows. The internal power supply accepts 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V supply, and the plug should be checked against BS 1363 sockets.
