Touchscreen T6 Education 55

What this 55-inch OneScreen model is

The OneScreen Touchscreen T6 Education 55 is a 55-inch interactive display built for teaching and group work. It combines a 4K panel, infrared touch and an Android 8.0 system in one unit, so a teacher can annotate lessons, open online resources and join video calls from the same screen. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. This page is written for schools and offices that already own one, buyers comparing it with newer displays, and anyone looking for a replacement.

The 55-inch size is the smallest in its series and suits rooms where a larger screen would overwhelm the space: small classrooms, breakout rooms, tutoring rooms and compact meeting rooms. For a large lecture hall with students seated far from the screen, a bigger size is the better choice.

Panel, touch and display facts that matter

The 55-inch panel offers 3840 x 2160 resolution at a 60 Hz refresh rate, with a pixel pitch of 0.315 mm. The data lists brightness of 400+ cd/m2 and 1.07 billion display colors. The anti-glare glass, rated 8 MOHS, helps reduce reflections from windows and ceiling lights in daylit rooms.

• Touch: 20 touch points with 3 mm touch accuracy and a response time of 2.5 m/s or more.
• Palm detection and pen-and-touch differentiation, so a teacher can rest a hand on the glass while writing.
• Viewing angle: at least 178 degrees horizontal and 176 degrees vertical, so students seated at the sides can still read the content.

Connectivity, software and optional modules

The display runs Android 8.0 on a processor with Cortex A73 and A53 cores, with 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage and 3GB DDR4 memory. Inputs include three HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort, one VGA port with audio, two touch USB ports, a 3.5 mm microphone input and an RJ-45 port. Connectivity adds RS232, front and rear USB ports and dual-band Wi-Fi with a 5G hotspot mode.

• Video conferencing: OneScreen Hype with screen sharing, recording and translation or transcription.
• Central management: OneScreen Central for screen control, emergency notifications and firmware upgrades.
• Lesson resources: ZUNI Learning, a collection of free online lessons integrated with Google's classroom platform.

An optional OPS slot can take a plug-in PC with an Intel Core i5 7th Gen or i7 9th Gen processor, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Optional cameras include a 1080p web camera with a built-in microphone and a 1080p PTZ camera with 12x optical zoom and remote control. The manufacturer marks its cloud-based services with an asterisk, so confirm their terms when you request a quote.

Where it fits in Qatar

A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out classrooms for both Arabic and English lessons could place this size at the front of each smaller room, where the teacher works close to the board. A research team in Education City running small seminar sessions with colleagues abroad could use it with OneScreen Hype and the PTZ camera, framing the presenter by remote control.

A government office in West Bay holding internal briefings could use it in a compact meeting room to show documents while remote attendees join by video. Each of these uses assumes an indoor, air-conditioned room.

Planning the environment, power and mounting

The source data does not list an operating temperature range, so do not assume the panel suits hot or dusty locations. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, and dust storms are common. Keep the panel in an air-conditioned room away from direct sun, and confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing it near windows or open lobbies.

The power supply accepts 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains, with a maximum draw of 160 W and standby at 0.5 W or less. The package includes a US power cable, so confirm a suitable BS 1363 (Type G) connection before installation.

The panel supports VESA 400 x 400 wall mounting. It weighs 88.2 lbs (about 40 kg) and measures 49.9 x 31.1 x 3.4 inches, so the wall must carry that load. A free site survey before installation is recommended, and mounting hardware should be confirmed in the quotation.

Because this model is discontinued, the quickest route is a quotation for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement that matches your room size and software needs. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar and the team will confirm the options for your site, usually within one working day.
