Overview

The Clevertouch CleverHub 2 is a wireless presentation device that displays screens from laptops, tablets and smartphones on a screen already in the room, without cables. It supports up to nine devices sharing content at once, 4K over HDMI, and power over PoE+ or USB. It suits meeting rooms, lecture halls and classrooms across Qatar where people bring their own devices. Request a quote for your room.

What the CleverHub 2 does in a meeting room

The Clevertouch CleverHub 2 is a wireless presentation device. It sits out of the way, connects to a display that is already installed, and shows whatever a presenter sends from a laptop, tablet or smartphone. Presenters do not need a cable at the table, and for the common sharing methods they do not need to install software on their own device. For organisations running hybrid meetings, the unit also supports bring-your-own-meeting, so a participant can host a Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Webex session from their own device while the room screen shows the discussion.

Specifications that matter for your installation

The unit runs Android 13 on an RK3588 processor with 8GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It has two HDMI outputs and a USB-C output that carries video and power, so one unit can drive up to three screens. Three USB-A 3.0 ports, a LAN port, a line-out and Bluetooth 5.2 complete the connections, and the wireless section supports 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax with 2 x 2 MIMO and WiFi 6E, with speeds up to 1Gbps. It is powered through PoE+ or over USB at a minimum of 65 W, and a regional power supply is included. The design is fanless, so there is no fan intake to collect dust.

Where it fits in Qatar

Three situations suit the CleverHub 2 well. In a boardroom in West Bay, executives who travel between Doha and abroad can present from their own laptops without a technician swapping cables, and the room can join a remote team on the same call. A training room at a campus in Education City can take presentations from several students in turn, since up to nine devices can share content at the same time. A hotel meeting room in Msheireb can show digital signage on the display between sessions, and the embedded room booking feature can show the room schedule.

What to plan before you order

  • The display: confirm the screen has an input the unit can feed through HDMI or USB-C.
  • The power route: if you use PoE+, check that the switch port can supply it.
  • The location: the listed operating temperature range is 0 to 40 with humidity of 10% to 90% RH, so keep the unit in an air-conditioned room.

SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, which we recommend for a multi-room roll-out so every position and cable route is checked before installation.

Warranty, approvals and ordering

The CleverHub 2 is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms vary by region, so we confirm the applicable terms in your quotation. The approvals listed for the unit are NRCS, SABS, CE, CB, ICASA, RCM and RSM, and we can confirm which apply to your project. Ministries, schools and companies can order against a purchase order or a Monaqasat tender. Request a quote and our team will usually respond within one working day.

Questions about CleverHub 2

What is the Clevertouch CleverHub 2 used for?
It is a wireless presentation device that shows content from a presenter's laptop, tablet or smartphone on a display already in the room. Staff can share presentations, documents and media without a cable. The manufacturer lists support for any visual display, including TVs, projectors and commercial displays. It also supports bring-your-own-meeting, so a participant can host a Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Webex call from their own device. It suits offices and training rooms where people use their own devices.
How many people can share content at the same time?
Up to nine devices can share content simultaneously, according to the manufacturer's specification. That suits a 20-person planning workshop in Lusail where several team members take turns at the room screen, each presenting from their own phone or laptop. Plan the session so presenters rotate rather than all sharing at once, which keeps the display readable and the discussion focused on one topic at a time.
Which sharing methods and devices are supported?
The unit supports Miracast (WiFi Direct), AirPlay, Chromecast, Clevershare and CleverCast. Clevershare has native clients for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, and the popular sharing methods need no additional software install. CleverCast is the method that also virtualises the camera, microphone and speaker, and the specification lists up to two CleverCast connections. Test the method your staff use before the meeting so the first connection is quick.
Does the CleverHub 2 need a separate power outlet?
Not necessarily. The unit is Power over Ethernet+ (PoE+) enabled and can also be powered over USB at a minimum of 65 watts. A regional power supply is included in the box. In a boardroom where the network cable run is already planned, a PoE+ port can remove the need for a wall socket behind the display. Confirm that your network switch can deliver PoE+ on that port before you order.
Will it work with the projector or TV in our ministry meeting room?
Probably, provided the screen has an HDMI input or a USB-C video input the unit can feed. The manufacturer says it works with any visual display, from TVs and projectors to commercial displays. In a ministry meeting room in Doha with an older projector, check the input type and the projector's native resolution. The unit supports 4K over HDMI, but the projector will show content at its own resolution. Our team can confirm compatibility during a free site survey.
Can the screen show digital signage when nobody is presenting?
Yes. The built-in CleverLive digital signage plays on the connected display when the unit is not being used for screen sharing. The specification also lists alerts and announcements, and embedded room booking, which can show a room's schedule on the screen outside meetings. A hotel meeting room in Msheireb could use this to show event times between sessions, and a reception area in The Pearl could use the same screen for visitor information.
Is the CleverHub 2 suitable for a hot room or an outdoor location in Qatar?
The listed operating temperature range is 0 to 40, with humidity of 10% to 90% RH, and the storage range is -20 to 60. Qatar summers can push outdoor and unconditioned spaces above 45°C, so install the CleverHub 2 inside an air-conditioned room, not in a sun-exposed lobby, a semi-open majlis or a storage area. If you are unsure about a space, ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm before installation.
How can an IT team manage several units across a campus?
The specification lists remote management of touchscreens through MDM, over-the-air updates, Intelligent O&M and OpenSDK support. For a university with lecture rooms in Education City, this means IT can push updates and monitor units from a central point instead of visiting each room. Ask SmartRooms Qatar which management features apply to your deployment and what they need on your network before you order multiple units.
How big is the unit and how is it mounted?
The CleverHub 2 measures 254.6 x 164.8 x 47.5 mm and weighs 863 g net, so it is small enough to sit behind a display. The datasheet's contents list includes a wall bracket and screw package. In a boardroom in The Pearl, a site survey helps choose a position close to the display and a clear route for the power and network cable, so the unit is not hidden behind equipment that blocks its wireless signal.
Is the CleverHub 2 covered by a warranty, and which approvals does it carry?
The unit is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty term and upgrade options vary by region, so we confirm the applicable terms in your quotation rather than assume them. The specification lists NRCS, SABS, CE, CB, ICASA, RCM and RSM approvals. Ask us to confirm which of these apply to your project before you commit to a deployment.
Can a government body or school order the CleverHub 2 through an LPO or tender?
Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supplies against purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. A school equipping several classrooms in Al Wakrah, for example, can request one quotation covering the units and professional installation, then attach it to its LPO. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.
