It suits Doha meeting rooms and classrooms where presenters need to share from their own laptop without cables. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar.

What the WP-D002C does in a room

The iiyama WP-D002C sends content from a computer to a compatible iiyama interactive display without a video cable. A presenter connects a USB-C laptop to the system and shares videos or applications through the EShare app already installed on the iLFD. In rooms used by many people in turn, removing cable swaps saves time and keeps the front of the room tidy.

Streaming reaches up to 4K, so the dongle suits presentations with detailed slides, high-resolution images and embedded video, not only basic text documents.

Connectivity and compatibility to check first

The dongle works with computers that have a USB-C port supporting DP-Alt mode. It must be paired with the Android receiver before use. If the Android receiver has no Type-C connection, the included USB Type-C to A adapter can be used.

Display compatibility: the source lists iiyama TE15A, TE13A and LH64 SERIES, and LH65B and LH75 SERIES after an OTA update.
Wireless: IEEE 802.11n on 5GHz, WPA2 encryption and a 20 m maximum reach.
Software: connects with EShare app version 7.3 and higher.
Video output: one DisplayPort 1.2 output that complies with HDCP.

Where it fits in Qatar

In a boardroom in West Bay, a visiting team can share a slide deck from its laptop straight onto the display without hunting for adapters. In a private school in Al Rayyan, a teacher can move between subjects and show student work from the desk. In a government office in Msheireb, shared sessions on one display keep the room's cabling clean between meetings.

Summer needs care. The dongle is rated for 0°C to 40°C and 10% to 80% humidity, so keep it inside the air-conditioned room rather than in a hot wall cabinet or on a sunlit windowsill, where Qatar's summer heat can exceed that range.

Planning the installation

Measure the distance between the presenter's seat and the display, because the maximum reach is 20 m. Check 5GHz Wi-Fi coverage in the room with your IT team, since this band is used for the link. The product measures 57 x 175 x 17 mm and runs on an external power supply with 4.5W typical power usage, so confirm the adapter's plug type against the BS 1363 sockets at your site before ordering.

SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys and professional installation, and products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Request a quote for the WP-D002C and tell us which iLFD model it will pair with, so the team can confirm compatibility before you order. Quotations are usually sent within one working day.

Questions about WP-D002C

What is the iiyama WP-D002C used for?

It shares content from a computer to a compatible iiyama iLFD display wirelessly using the EShare app. It supports video streaming up to 4K, and the presenter needs only a USB-C connection on the laptop. It is aimed at meeting rooms, classrooms and training rooms where people take turns presenting from their own devices.

Which iiyama displays is it compatible with?

The source data lists iiyama TE15A, TE13A and LH64 SERIES as compatible, and says the LH65B and LH75 SERIES are supported after an OTA update. Confirm your exact display model and firmware before ordering. SmartRooms Qatar can check this against your display when you request a quote.

Does my laptop need a special port?

Yes. The dongle works with computers that have a USB-C port supporting DP-Alt mode. Check the laptop specification sheet for DP-Alt support before presenting from it. Laptops without this port cannot use the dongle as described in the source data.

What video resolution can it stream?

The dongle is described as supporting smooth video streaming up to 4K. Its DisplayPort output is version 1.2 and complies with HDCP. Actual quality also depends on the laptop, the network and the display, so test the content you plan to share in the room before an important meeting.

Do I need to pair it with an Android receiver?

Yes. The dongle must be paired with the Android receiver before it can be used. If the receiver has no Type-C connection, the included USB Type-C to A adapter can be used. Ask for pairing to be completed at installation so presenters do not have to pair devices during a meeting.

What wireless standard and security does it use?

It uses IEEE 802.11n on the 5GHz band with WPA2 encryption, and its maximum reach is 20 m. In a large hall or a room with thick walls, measure the distance between the dongle and the display and check 5GHz coverage with the IT team before installing.

Is it suitable for a classroom in Al Rayyan?

Yes, for a classroom fitted with a compatible iiyama display. A private school in Al Rayyan can let teachers present from their own laptop and show student work without walking to a cable at the front. Confirm the display model first, and check that the teacher's laptop has a USB-C port with DP-Alt support.

Can it support a meeting in Doha with overseas colleagues?

It handles local sharing from a laptop to the display in the room. It does not replace a video conferencing system, so remote participants would need a separate conferencing setup. For a boardroom in West Bay where a local team presents to colleagues abroad, the dongle covers the in-room sharing part of the meeting.

Can it stay in a room during Qatar's summer?

The source gives an operating range of 0°C to 40°C and 10% to 80% humidity, with storage from -10°C to 60°C. Keep the dongle inside the air-conditioned room, not in a hot cabinet or near a sunlit window, because outdoor summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C.

What power does it need and how big is it?

It uses an external power supply and draws 4.5W typical. The product measures 57 x 175 x 17 mm and comes in silver or black. Confirm the plug type of the power supply against BS 1363 sockets at your site before ordering, since the source data does not give a mounting kit.

How do I buy it through SmartRooms Qatar?

The WP-D002C is supplied by quotation. Request one with your display model and the number of rooms, and the team usually replies within one working day. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders and bank transfer, cheque or purchase order payment, and delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar.

Is it covered by a warranty?

Yes, the WP-D002C is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Ask SmartRooms Qatar for the warranty terms in your quotation. For schools or government offices ordering several dongles, include the model and quantity in the request so the quotation and purchase order match.
