Edge Connect Conference Camera

What this discontinued Elo camera does

The Elo Edge Connect Conference Camera, part number E277819, is a Full HD USB camera built for conference and huddle rooms. It captures 1920 x 1080 video at 30 frames per second and can also output 1280 x 720, 640 x 480 and 640 x 360 when an application or a slower network calls for it. Elo has discontinued this model and replaced it with the 4K Conference Camera. This page serves organisations that already run the E277819, buyers comparing it with newer models, and anyone looking for a current replacement.

Field of view, tilt and mounting

The lens provides an 80° horizontal, 65° vertical and 96° diagonal field of view, each with a tolerance of plus or minus 5 percent. That width keeps several seats in frame when people move between the table and the screen. A 30° tilt and an adjustable slider let the installer aim the lens vertically and horizontally, and the camera can be placed on top of the display or on one side. Elo Edge Connect compatibility allows it to attach securely to any side of a compatible display.

Audio, software and operating system support

The integrated microphone is analog and uses acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), which reduces the echo of far-end audio so remote participants hear the room clearly. AEC connects through a 2.5 mm barrel jack, and the matching cable is in the box. The camera is UVC 1.1 compatible and is listed for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting and BlueJeans. Automatic gain, exposure, white balance and black level control adjust the picture and sound as lighting changes through the day.

Supported systems are Windows 7 and 10, macOS 10.4.8 or later, Android 4.0 or later, and Linux with UVC support above version 2.6.26. Android Jelly Bean and later need a separate UVC driver.

Where it fits in Qatar

• A boardroom in West Bay: leadership teams join calls with colleagues in Europe and Asia, and the camera frames the table from the top of the display.
• A training room in Education City: instructors run remote sessions with partner institutions, and the 96° diagonal view covers students in the seats beside the presenter.
• An administration office in a Doha hospital: managers hold hybrid meetings with clinical teams across the city, and echo cancellation helps keep audio clear in a room with hard surfaces.

Planning the installation

Check the display model before ordering to confirm it supports Elo Edge Connect, because the camera mounts through that system. The camera measures 471.1 x 81.72 x 102.81 mm and weighs 0.36 kg unpackaged or 1.05 kg packaged. The box includes two M3 mounting screws, the 2.5 mm barrel jack cable and a quick install guide. The manufacturer data does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before mounting near a window or a lobby, where summer temperatures above 45°C and dust storms are common.

The camera carries a 3-year manufacturer warranty. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey, professional installation and delivery to all eight municipalities of Qatar. Organisations buying through a purchase order can request a quote that references their LPO.

Choosing a current equivalent

Because Elo has replaced this model with the 4K Conference Camera, request a quote for that unit, or for a compatible replacement if your display setup differs. Send your display model, room size and video platform, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will prepare a quotation for review.
