Overview

The Yealink MVC800 II is a Microsoft Teams Rooms bundle for medium and large meeting rooms, combining a mini-PC, an 8-inch touch console, a 12x optical zoom 1080p PTZ camera and VCM34 array microphones with 20 ft (6 m) pickup. Yealink has discontinued this model: sales ended in July 2021 and end-of-life support ends 12 July 2026. Request a quote for a current equivalent in Qatar.

What the MVC800 II kit includes

The MVC800 II is a bundled Microsoft Teams Rooms system aimed at medium and large meeting rooms. Each kit brings together a mini-PC, a touch console, a PTZ camera, microphones and a soundbar, so the room is supplied as one set rather than assembled part by part. It targets rooms where a laptop webcam and built-in microphone cannot cover everyone at the table.

  • MCore mini-PC: 7th-gen Intel Core i5, 8GB memory and a 128GB SSD, with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and the Microsoft Teams Rooms app preloaded
  • MTouch II console: 8-inch IPS touch screen at 1280 x 800, on an angle-adjustable bracket covering 23 to 50 degrees
  • UVC80 camera: 1080p at 60 frames per second with 12x optical zoom
  • VCM34 array microphones: 360-degree pickup up to 20 ft (6 m), with up to four units connectable

Camera, audio and content sharing

The UVC80 has a 78.5-degree diagonal field of view, a 200-degree pan range and a 60-degree tilt range, so it can frame a long table from the TV wall. The bundled MSpeaker soundbar is rated at 10 W RMS x 4 with a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 70 dB. Yealink Noise Proof technology is included to reduce background noise in busy rooms.

Presenters can share wirelessly through the built-in Wi-Fi access point used with the Yealink WPP20 presentation device, or connect a laptop by HDMI or USB-C. Wired and wireless sharing can run side by side, so each guest can use the method they prefer.

Where it fits in Qatar

Three realistic settings suit this kit:

  • A ministry boardroom in West Bay where executives join Teams calls with colleagues in other cities and countries, and a single room system keeps setup simple for the support team.
  • A seminar room in Education City running hybrid sessions, where the camera frames the presenter and the soundbar carries remote voices clearly to the back of the room.
  • A training room in the Industrial Area for multi-site induction sessions, where the cable management box keeps the conference table tidy.

Planning for heat, mounting and cabling

The operating range is 0 to 40 degrees C with 10 to 95 percent humidity, and storage is rated from -30 to 70 degrees C. Summer temperatures in Doha regularly exceed 45 degrees C, so the room must stay air-conditioned at all times, and SmartRooms Qatar can confirm the environment for your site. The MCore cable management solution carries data and power over one CAT5e cable between the TV area and the table area, which reduces cabling work during deployment. The display is not in the package list, so confirm screen size, wall mounting and cable route during a free site survey before ordering.

Discontinued model: what to do next

Yealink discontinued the MVC800 II for sale on 12 July 2021 and will end its life on 12 July 2026, after which support and services stop. Organisations that already run this system should plan a migration path now. New buyers should request a quote for a current equivalent Teams Rooms system, and SmartRooms Qatar can compare options against your room size and participant numbers. Send us your room dimensions and screen preference and request a quote; quotations usually arrive within one working day.

Questions about MVC800 II

Is the Yealink MVC800 II still sold, and what should I buy instead?
Yealink has discontinued the MVC800 II, so it is no longer a current product line. SmartRooms Qatar can still quote on a current equivalent Teams Rooms system matched to your room size, camera needs and existing displays. Tell us the room dimensions and how many people meet there, and we will recommend a compatible replacement in our quotation. Quotations usually arrive within one working day.
When did Yealink stop selling the MVC800 II and when does support end?
Yealink ended sales of the MVC800 II on 12 July 2021. Its end-of-life date is 12 July 2026, when Yealink states that all support and services for the product will be terminated under its End-of-Life Policy. Organisations that own this system should plan a migration well before that date so meetings keep running without interruption. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to quote for a replacement so the switch can be planned.
What size of room is the MVC800 II designed for?
It is designed for medium and large meeting rooms, where a laptop camera and built-in microphone do not cover everyone at the table. The VCM34 microphones pick up 360 degrees to 20 ft (6 m), and the UVC80 camera's 12x optical zoom reaches across a long table. For very small huddle rooms, a smaller system is usually a better fit. Send us your room dimensions for a recommendation.
Would this suit a ministry boardroom in West Bay that holds Teams calls with teams abroad?
It can, if the room is medium to large and already uses Microsoft Teams. The 8-inch touch console runs the Teams Rooms interface, and the camera pans 200 degrees and tilts 60 degrees to frame participants. Because the model is discontinued, a ministry should compare it with a current Teams Rooms system before issuing a tender. SmartRooms Qatar supports LPO and government tender purchasing.
Could a university seminar room in Education City use it for hybrid sessions?
A medium-sized seminar room can use it for hybrid teaching, with the camera framing the presenter and remote students heard through the MSpeaker soundbar, rated at 10 W RMS x 4. The microphones reach 20 ft (6 m). Confirm that the room is air-conditioned, since the operating range is 0 to 40 degrees C. Universities often buy through purchase orders or tenders, and SmartRooms Qatar supports both.
Is it practical for a training centre in the Industrial Area running workshops with remote trainers?
It suits workshops where a trainer needs to see the whole room and hear participants at the far end. The UVC80 pan and tilt range lets the operator frame a trainer at the front or a group at the table. Wireless sharing through the WPP20 presentation device lets trainees present without cables. Keep the room air-conditioned and confirm site conditions with SmartRooms Qatar before installation.
Can the system run in a Doha meeting room during the summer, when temperatures pass 45 degrees C?
Only in an air-conditioned room. The operating temperature is 0 to 40 degrees C with 10 to 95 percent humidity, so an uncooled room falls outside the design range. Summer temperatures in Doha regularly exceed 45 degrees C, which makes continuous cooling essential. Avoid placing the mini-PC or console near windows or in a hot store cupboard. Ask our team to confirm the environment during your site survey.
What should a Lusail developer plan for a boardroom with a wall-mounted screen?
The package list does not include a display, so screen size, mounting and cable route must be planned separately. Use a free site survey to check that the wall can carry the chosen panel, confirm the distance from the screen to the table, and plan the single CAT5e run. The console bracket adjusts from 23 to 50 degrees, which helps the touch screen sit at a comfortable angle on a boardroom table.
What does the UVC80 camera offer?
The UVC80 is a USB PTZ camera that outputs 1920 x 1080 video at 60 frames per second with 12x optical zoom. Its diagonal field of view is 78.5 degrees, with a 200-degree pan range and a 60-degree tilt range. The Yealink plug-in lets you control the camera from the touch console, so a separate remote is not needed. Good framing matters most in larger rooms where participants sit far from the lens.
How do participants share content in the room?
Participants can share wirelessly through the Yealink WPP20 presentation device, which uses the system's built-in Wi-Fi access point. A laptop can also connect by HDMI or USB-C for wired sharing. The mini-PC provides two HDMI video outputs, four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Offering both wired and wireless options lets each guest share in the way that suits them.
How is cabling handled between the TV and the conference table?
The MCore cable management solution combines data transmission and power supply into one CAT5e cable that runs between the TV area and the conference table area. A cable management box keeps the remaining connections organised. This reduces routing work during deployment. Ask for a site survey so the cable run, wall route and power points are agreed before installation starts.
Can the IT team manage the system remotely?
Yes. The solution supports the Yealink Device Management Platform and cloud service, which lets administrators monitor, configure, update and diagnose the Yealink audio and video devices in the system remotely. Because support for this model ends on 12 July 2026, confirm the platform arrangement with SmartRooms Qatar before relying on it, and request a quote for a current system with ongoing support.
