Built-in touch with no overlay frame

The LG 49TA3E builds touch sensing into the display itself, so a separate overlay frame is not needed to make the screen interactive. Its infrared touch system recognises up to 10 touch points at once, which lets several people work on the same screen at a station or interactive wall. The panel also has anti-glare protection glass rated 2.8T, which helps readability in bright rooms.

Writing, webOS and content tools on the screen

The embedded whiteboard application runs on the display without a PC or separate software, so a presenter or teacher can annotate and share content from the panel alone. The webOS platform supports HTML5 web content and includes an SDK, so integrators can build custom applications for visitors or customers. A touch menu can be called up from anywhere on the screen, and a dedicated folder groups custom apps for quick access.

The display supports PBP, which shows two input sources side by side, and PIP, which shows a main picture and a sub picture at the same time. If the main source is disconnected, the unit detects available inputs and switches to a backup source automatically. Bluetooth Low Energy and beacon support allow a store to send coupons and information to nearby shoppers in real time.

Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs, DP, DVI-D, RGB, an audio input and a USB 3.0 port, with DP and audio outputs.
