The Dahua PKC-UC12D is a 4K pan-tilt-zoom USB camera built for meetings, lecture rooms and hybrid sessions. It pairs a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor with 12× optical zoom, auto-framing and voice tracking, and stores up to 255 preset positions. What the PKC-UC12D does in a room
The Dahua PKC-UC12D is a pan-tilt-zoom camera that feeds video to a computer over USB 3.0, and it can also output over HDMI or LAN. Its 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor records up to 3840 × 2160, and the camera outputs 4K at 30 or 25 fps over HDMI. Over USB 3.0, the main output reaches 1920 × 1080 at 30 fps.
Framing, zoom and tracking
The lens offers 12× optical zoom, and the camera adds 15× EPTZ on top of that. Auto-framing and voice tracking keep the active speaker in shot without an operator adjusting the camera during a session, which helps when one person presents from a lectern or a whiteboard.
Pan covers ±110° horizontally and tilt covers ±30°, with pan speeds from 0.1° to 100° per second. You can store up to 255 preset positions, and ten of them can be recalled from the supplied remote control. In a lecture hall with a fixed lectern and a second presenter spot, that means fewer manual adjustments between speakers.
Image quality and connectivity
Auto white balance, 3D noise reduction and backlight compensation help the picture hold up under mixed lighting, such as a room with windows and ceiling lights. The camera works down to 0.5 lux at F1.8 with AGC on, and its S/N ratio is above 50 dB. It supports H.265 compression and the UVC and UAC USB protocols.
Control is via RS-232 IN using VISCA, Pelco-D or Pelco-P at baud rates from 2400 to 115200. Video can leave the camera over HDMI, LAN or USB 3.0, so it can feed a room system, a streaming PC or a network.

It runs on 12 VDC at under 1 A, drawing under 12 W, through the HEC3800 socket and supplied power adapter.
