Touchscreen T6 Education 65

What the 65-inch T6 Education display is

The OneScreen Touchscreen T6 Education 65 is a 65-inch interactive display for classrooms, seminar rooms and meeting rooms. A 4K LG panel, infrared touch, a built-in Android system and stereo speakers sit in one unit, so lessons, presentations and video calls can run from a single screen. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. This page is written for organisations that already own one, buyers comparing it with newer displays and anyone who needs a replacement.

The facts that matter in daily use

At 65 inches, the 3840 x 2160 resolution gives a pixel pitch of 0.372 mm, which keeps small text and detailed diagrams sharp for a group seated across the room.

• Display: 400+ cd/m2 brightness, 1.06 billion colours and a 60 Hz refresh rate.
• Viewing angle: minimum 178 degrees left and right, 176 degrees up and down.
• Touch: 20 touch points, 3mm accuracy, response time of 2.5 m/s or better, palm detection and pen-and-touch differentiation.
• Surface: 8 MOHS anti-glare glass.
• Audio: two 15W speakers with balance control, automatic volume control and an equaliser.

Palm detection helps when a presenter rests a hand on the glass while writing with a pen.

Connections and optional add-ons

Three HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort, VGA with audio, a 3.5mm microphone input and an RJ-45 port cover most laptops, document cameras and conferencing equipment. Two touch USB ports carry touch data from a connected computer, and the front and rear USB ports take storage and peripherals. Wi-Fi is dual-band (2.4G and 5G) and can act as a 5G hotspot, and an RS232 port supports control from external systems. HDCP 2.2 is supported on HDMI.

Two options extend the unit. An optional OPS PC with an Intel Core i5 7th Gen or i7 9th Gen processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD can run Linux, Windows 7, 8 or 10. Optional cameras include a 1080p Full HD web camera with an ultra-wide field of view and a 1080p PTZ camera with 12x optical zoom and a 72.5 degree wide-angle lens.

Where it fits in Qatar

• A classroom in Al Wakrah: a science or maths room where students at the back need to read labelled diagrams and worksheets.
• A meeting room in West Bay: a team that connects with colleagues abroad through OneScreen Hype, which offers screen sharing, recording and translation or transcription.
• A seminar room in Education City or Msheireb: a space for small groups where annotation and screen sharing from several devices are part of the session.

The built-in Android 8.0 system gives access to Android apps and the Google Play Store, with multi-user login support, so each teacher or staff member can keep a separate profile.

What to plan before you order

Plan the wall and the room before the unit arrives. The display uses a VESA 500 x 400 mounting pattern and a flush wall mount is provided. The panel measures 58.5 x 35.8 x 3.5 inches and weighs 88.2 lbs, with a shipping weight of 119 lbs, so the installer should confirm wall structure and handling. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys and we recommend one for rooms with unusual walls or high mounting positions.

• Power: AC 100-240V at 50/60 Hz, power rate up to 200W, standby up to 0.5W.
• Environment: the manufacturer data does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team, especially for window-facing rooms where summer heat can exceed 45°C.
• Box contents: HDMI cable, US power cable, USB touch cable, two pens and one extendable pen. Confirm the power plug, as Qatar uses BS 1363 sockets.

Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, are accepted, and payment can be made by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Because this model is discontinued, request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement, and the team will confirm the options that suit your room.
