Overview

Biamp has discontinued this red 12-pack of grille kits for Desono C-IC6 specialty conferencing loudspeakers. It suits organisations in Qatar that already run C-IC6 units and need spare grilles, and buyers looking for a current equivalent. Request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar and we will confirm compatibility first.

What this Desono C-IC6 grille kit is

The Biamp Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK Red is a 12-pack of red grille kits for Desono C-IC6 specialty conferencing loudspeakers. It is an accessory, not a loudspeaker, and it is sold under item number 920-00049-40000. Biamp has discontinued this red version, so this page serves organisations that already own C-IC6 loudspeakers and need spare grilles, as well as buyers comparing options before choosing a replacement.

Facts that matter before you order

The manufacturer's listing is short, so the details that matter most are these:

Quantity: 12 grille kits per pack.
Colour: red, item number 920-00049-40000.
Compatibility: Desono C-IC6 specialty conferencing loudspeakers.
Status: discontinued by Biamp.

The listing does not give dimensions, materials, weight or fitting steps, and it does not state an operating temperature range. SmartRooms Qatar will not assume those values. They can be checked against manufacturer data when you request your quote, particularly if the loudspeakers are installed in an unusual location.

Where it fits in Qatar

Consider an AV team at a university in Education City maintaining C-IC6 loudspeakers across several seminar rooms. Keeping matching grilles in stock means a damaged cover can be replaced without taking a room out of service while a replacement is sourced.

A ministry or authority in Doha refitting a boardroom may want to keep its existing loudspeakers. Fixing the unit count early and raising the quote request promptly, because the product is discontinued, reduces the risk of a last-minute gap in the project.

A corporate headquarters in Lusail running hybrid meetings can apply the same approach across its meeting rooms. Because the manufacturer lists conferencing as the primary application, the kit suits meeting spaces where C-IC6 loudspeakers are already in use.

What to plan for

Count the C-IC6 loudspeakers and note their model labels.
Decide whether 12 grilles covers your needs or whether you want additional spares.
Confirm the colour against the units already installed.
Book a free site survey if the loudspeakers are mounted high or in hard-to-reach positions.
Check the warranty terms as part of the quotation.

Summer temperatures above 45°C and dust storms in Qatar are worth considering for any equipment near windows or in lobbies. Tell the SmartRooms Qatar team where the loudspeakers sit so the environment can be checked before you order.

To request a quote, send item number 920-00049-40000, the quantity you need and the model names of your C-IC6 loudspeakers. Quotations usually arrive within one working day. If this red kit cannot be supplied, the team will recommend a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Questions about Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK

What exactly is the Biamp Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK Red?

It is a set of twelve red grille kits for Desono C-IC6 specialty conferencing loudspeakers, sold under Biamp item number 920-00049-40000. It is an accessory used to replace or supply grilles for C-IC6 units already in a room, not a loudspeaker in its own right. The manufacturer's listing gives no dimensions, materials or fitting steps, so confirm those with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing an order.

Is Biamp still producing this grille kit?

No. Biamp has discontinued the red 12-pack, so this page is aimed at organisations that already own C-IC6 loudspeakers and need spare grilles, and at buyers comparing options. If you need a grille for a red C-IC6 system, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar. The team will advise whether a current equivalent or compatible replacement suits your loudspeakers before you commit.

Which loudspeakers is this kit designed for?

The kit is made for Desono C-IC6 specialty conferencing loudspeakers. Check the model name printed on your loudspeakers before ordering, because the listing names only the C-IC6 series and no other Desono models. Send the model names and item number of your existing units with your quote request, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will confirm the match before any purchase order is raised.

How does the red version differ from the black and white kits?

All three versions are 12-packs of grille kits for the same loudspeaker series, so the difference is colour. Red is item number 920-00049-40000, black is 920-00049-10000 and white is 920-00049-20000. Choose the colour that matches the finish already installed in your room, and confirm it when requesting a quote, since the listing describes colour only.

Why would a school or university in Education City buy a 12-pack of grilles?

Picture an AV team at a university in Education City running several C-IC6 loudspeakers across seminar rooms and collaboration spaces. Twelve spare grilles let the facilities team replace a damaged cover quickly without taking a room out of service. Count your loudspeakers before ordering, and add spares if the rooms see heavy daily use.

How should a ministry in Doha plan an order when refitting a boardroom?

If a ministry is refitting a boardroom and wants to keep its existing C-IC6 loudspeakers, start by counting the units and noting their model labels. Then decide whether 12 grilles is enough. Because the product is discontinued, send the quote request early with item number 920-00049-40000 and the quantity, which lowers the risk of a gap in the project timetable.

Can a corporate headquarters in Lusail use this kit for hybrid meeting rooms?

Biamp lists conferencing as the primary application, so the kit suits meeting rooms where C-IC6 loudspeakers are already in use. A headquarters in Lusail running hybrid meetings with teams abroad could hold spare grilles for each room that uses these loudspeakers, sizing the quantity to the number of units in each room. Send a list of rooms and loudspeaker counts with your request.

Will the grille kit cope with Qatar's summer heat and dust?

The listing gives no operating temperature range or dust rating, so this page cannot confirm either. Summer temperatures in Qatar regularly exceed 45°C and dust storms occur, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to check the installation environment against manufacturer data before ordering. If the loudspeakers sit in an air-conditioned meeting room, say so in your quote request.

Is the kit covered by a warranty?

Products supplied by SmartRooms Qatar are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The source data does not state a warranty period or terms for this kit, so none are given here. Ask for the warranty terms in writing with your quotation, particularly if you are buying spares for loudspeakers that are already in service.

Do I need a site survey or professional installation for this kit?

The listing does not describe a fitting method, so a free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar is the best starting point. The team can check the loudspeakers in place, agree the grille fitting with your facilities staff and note any access issues in busy rooms. Professional installation is also available if you would rather have the fitting handled by the team.

What should I request if the red kit cannot be supplied?

Ask SmartRooms Qatar for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Send item number 920-00049-40000, the model names of your C-IC6 loudspeakers and, if available, photos of the existing grilles. The team will confirm whether an alternative fits your loudspeakers before you commit, and will set out the warranty terms in the quotation.

How do purchase orders, government tenders and delivery work for this order?

SmartRooms Qatar supplies by quotation and accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Quotations usually arrive within one working day. Delivery covers all 8 municipalities of Qatar. Payment is by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Include the item number, quantity and your LPO reference in the request so the quotation matches your paperwork.
