Overview

The Biamp Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK Black is a 12-pack grille kit for Desono C-IC6 conferencing loudspeakers, in black. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. It suits Qatari organisations that already run C-IC6 loudspeakers and need matching black replacement grilles, or that are comparing finishes. Request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement.

What this black grille kit covers

The Biamp Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK Black is a grille kit rather than a loudspeaker. Its twelve grilles are finished in black and are intended for the Desono C-IC6 conferencing loudspeakers. Biamp files the product under Video Conferencing, within loudspeaker accessories, and lists conferencing as its primary application.

This kit is item number 920-00049-10000. The identical twelve-pack is also offered in white and red under separate item numbers, so the finish you choose should match the units already installed or the colour scheme of the room.

Planning a replacement for a discontinued model

Because the manufacturer has discontinued this model, plan the order carefully. Count the C-IC6 loudspeakers that need a grille and compare that number with the twelve in the pack. Confirm the exact loudspeaker model printed on the unit, since the kit is only described for the C-IC6 range. Where a grille is damaged, check its colour under normal room lighting, because a mismatched finish is easy to spot in a boardroom or lecture hall.

If the original kit is no longer available from the manufacturer, SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and the quotation will state whether a substitute suits your existing loudspeakers.

Where a black C-IC6 grille kit fits in Qatar

A university meeting room in Education City may have C-IC6 loudspeakers installed several years ago, with one grille damaged during routine cleaning. A black pack lets the facilities team restore the original appearance without replacing the entire audio installation.

A government ministry refitting conference rooms in West Bay may want one finish across several rooms. Ordering black packs for the rooms that already use black units keeps the look consistent, while rooms with a different design scheme can be matched to the white or red versions instead.

A hotel in Lusail running a set of conference rooms can keep a spare pack on site, so a worn grille does not delay a client event.

Ordering in Qatar

SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar. Organisations can order against a purchase order or LPO, and payment is accepted by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. A free site survey is available if you need to confirm loudspeaker models, quantities or access before you commit.

Include the item number 920-00049-10000, the number of C-IC6 units, the finish and your municipality when you request a quote. The SmartRooms Qatar team will reply with options for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Questions about Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK

What is the Biamp Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK Black?

It is a grille kit, not a loudspeaker. The 12-pack supplies black grilles for Desono C-IC6 conferencing loudspeakers, and Biamp lists conferencing as its primary application. It suits organisations in Qatar that already run C-IC6 units and need grilles that match the existing black finish. Because the model is discontinued, request a quote so the team can confirm what matches your installation.

Has Biamp discontinued this grille kit?

Yes. The manufacturer has discontinued the Desono C-IC6-GK-12PK Black, so this page is written for organisations that already own the kit, buyers comparing it with other finishes, and anyone looking for a replacement. Quote the item number 920-00049-10000 when you request a quote. SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, usually within one working day.

Which loudspeakers does this grille kit fit?

The kit is described for Desono C-IC6 specialty conferencing loudspeakers, and the manufacturer data names no other compatible models. Before ordering, read the model printed on each unit and count how many need a grille. If your loudspeakers are a different model, or you are unsure, send the model details with your enquiry so the SmartRooms Qatar team can confirm compatibility first.

Is the kit available in white or red as well?

Yes. The same 12-pack is listed in white under item number 920-00049-20000 and in red under item number 920-00049-40000. The black version is item 920-00049-10000. Pick the finish that matches your existing loudspeakers and the room's colour scheme, because a mismatched grille is easy to spot in a boardroom or lecture hall. Name the item number clearly in your quote request.

How many grilles are in each pack, and how do I work out the quantity?

Each pack is a 12-pack. Start by counting the C-IC6 loudspeakers that need a grille, then compare that total with the twelve in the pack. A room with fewer units keeps spares, while a larger site needs more than one pack. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm the count on location before you commit to an order, and the quotation will list the quantities requested.

One grille on a C-IC6 loudspeaker is damaged in our meeting room. Can we order just one?

The manufacturer data describes this item as a 12-pack, so it is supplied in that quantity. Before ordering, note the loudspeaker model and the finish of the damaged grille, then ask SmartRooms Qatar whether a single replacement can be arranged or whether a full pack is the practical option. Details about the room and its lighting help the team advise you correctly.

Can this kit be used outdoors or in very hot spaces in Qatar?

The manufacturer data does not give an operating temperature range or an outdoor rating for this grille kit or the loudspeakers it covers, so do not assume it suits outdoor or sun-exposed areas. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45°C, and dust storms are common. Describe the installation environment, including windows and any direct sun, so the SmartRooms Qatar team can confirm suitability before you order.

What should a private school in Al Rayyan check before ordering replacement grilles?

Start by identifying the exact C-IC6 model and finish on each classroom or hall unit, then count the units that need a grille. Keep the finish consistent across the school where possible, and order one pack for each matching group of units. Because this model is discontinued, ask for a quotation for a compatible replacement if the finish or model does not match. An LPO can be raised for a school budget, and payment by purchase order is accepted.

How should a ministry in West Bay plan grille replacements across several conference rooms?

Survey the rooms first and record the loudspeaker model, finish and count in each one. Schedule the work outside meeting hours so senior staff are not disrupted. A free site survey from SmartRooms Qatar can confirm access and quantities, and quotations are usually issued within one working day. Government orders can be placed against a purchase order, and the quotation should list each room's requirement separately.

Is a grille kit a substitute for buying new loudspeakers?

No. The kit is an accessory for the grille of a Desono C-IC6 loudspeaker and does not replace the loudspeaker itself. If the loudspeakers have a fault, or the system needs upgrading, that is a separate decision that requires a site review. For a worn or damaged grille, the kit may be enough. Request a quote and describe the problem so the SmartRooms Qatar team can advise which option fits.

Can a hotel conference room in Lusail keep a spare pack on site?

Yes, provided the hotel already uses Desono C-IC6 loudspeakers in its conference rooms. A black spare pack lets the technical team replace a damaged grille before a client event instead of waiting for a repair. Record the item number, the loudspeaker model and the room, and confirm the finish with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Is this grille kit covered by a warranty?

Products supplied by SmartRooms Qatar are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer data for this kit does not state a warranty length or terms, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the applicable warranty terms before you place an order. Include the item number 920-00049-10000 in your request so the warranty information matches the exact finish you select.
