The IAdea WDB-001-H is a desk booking device from the WDB-001 Desk Booking System. It mounts at a workspace and shows whether that desk is free or reserved, so staff in hot-desking and desk-hoteling offices do not have to walk the floor looking for a seat. Reservations can be made from a mobile booking tool, through reception or directly at the desk. The -H suffix is the variant that the manufacturer marks under HID in its comparison table, while the -A variant carries NFC. Check-in with workplace IDs and protected bookings

The device verifies a user by scanning their workplace-issued ID, which makes check-in and check-out quick and ties each booking to a named person. A cancellation or extension must be made with the same ID, so one employee cannot end a colleague's reservation. The push button and indicator lights let people act on the desk directly without opening an app.

Occupancy sensing and the WDG-001 gateway

A built-in PIR sensor watches the desk for an occupant. If a reservation has no one at the desk, the booking system releases the space and updates its status so colleagues can use it. The devices are controlled by a separate gateway, the WDG-001, and the manufacturer data lists its specifications as PoE+ at 25.5 W, six USB host ports, the IAdea Desk Booking Framework 1.0 API, Android 7.1, a Quad A9 CPU, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage.
