XDS-1588-H

What the IAdea XDS-1588-H is

The IAdea XDS-1588-H is a 15-inch touch room booking panel designed to sit beside a meeting room door. Staff can see room status at a glance and book a free slot on the screen without opening a laptop. It belongs to IAdea's 15-inch Smart Workplace range, and this variant is the one with both an embedded NFC module and an embedded HID module. IAdea has discontinued the XDS-1588-H, so this page serves organisations that already run the model, buyers comparing it with newer options, and anyone who needs a replacement.

The specifications that matter at a meeting room door

• Display: 15-inch touch screen, 1920 x 1080 resolution and 350 nits brightness
• Processor and software: quad-core Cortex-A17 processor running Android 7.1
• Identification: embedded NFC and embedded HID modules
• Power and connectivity: PoE+ and built-in Wi-Fi
• Status and extras: programmable LED light bar and a camera
• Mounting: built-in VESA MIS-D mount at 100 mm x 100 mm

A 350-nit panel is a practical choice for a door sign, but it is not a high-brightness screen. Keep it away from direct sunlight and strong window light so the display stays readable. The NFC and HID modules are what separate this model from the base XDS-1588, which has neither, and from the XDS-1588-A, which has NFC only. If your access or attendance process relies on specific credentials, confirm them with SmartRooms Qatar before ordering, because the manufacturer data does not list which card formats each module reads.

Where it fits in Qatar

Three situations show where this panel earns its place:

• Government and corporate offices in West Bay or Msheireb. On a busy floor with several meeting rooms, a booking panel at each door helps staff see which room is free and keeps attendance records tidy.
• Universities and training centres in Education City. Seminar rooms and shared project spaces are often booked by several departments, so a visible booking panel at each door helps avoid double bookings.
• Hotels and serviced apartments in The Pearl with business floors. Meeting rooms on a business level can show guests and staff what is available, and on-site touch booking removes the need for a front-desk call.

Planning the installation of a discontinued model

Each panel needs one PoE+ Ethernet connection, so check that every door position has a switch port able to supply PoE+ before the order is confirmed. The VESA mount gives a fixed mounting point, but the wall, cable route and height should be confirmed during our free site survey. Booking functions depend on third-party room management software, so send your platform name early and we will confirm compatibility. The source data gives no operating temperature range, so confirm that each position is an air-conditioned indoor location before installation.

Because the model is discontinued, buyers may need a like-for-like replacement for an existing room or a current equivalent for a new project. Orders can be placed by LPO, through government tenders including Monaqasat, or paid by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, and delivery is available to all eight municipalities of Qatar.

Request a quote for the XDS-1588-H or a current equivalent, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will reply with a quotation, usually within one working day.
