Overview

The Hisense 46L35B5U is a 46-inch LCD video wall panel with a 3.5mm bezel, 1920 x 1080 resolution and 500 nits brightness, suited to retail floors, corporate lobbies and control rooms. Hisense has discontinued this model, so buyers in Qatar who already own it or need matching panels should request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement.

What the 46L35B5U is and where it fits

The Hisense 46L35B5U is a 46-inch LCD display from the L35B5U series, built to be joined with other panels into a video wall. Each unit runs at 1920 x 1080 and has a 3.5mm bezel-to-bezel edge, so content can span several screens with few visible gaps. Hisense has discontinued this model, so if you already run these panels or need to extend an existing wall, request a quote and we will confirm what can still be supplied or recommend a current equivalent or compatible replacement.

Brightness, contrast and viewing angle on a busy floor

The panel is rated at 500 nits maximum brightness, which keeps content readable in daylight-lit lobbies and near glazing. Its 1200:1 typical contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angle mean staff and visitors walking past the side of the wall still see a clear picture. The front surface carries an anti-glare treatment with a 25% haze rating and a coating rated 3H for scratch resistance, which reduces reflections from ceiling lights and glass. The specification also lists an 8 ms refresh rate, a D-LED backlight and a rated lifetime of 50,000 hours at 24x7 usage.

Connections and control for a multi-panel wall

Video inputs include two HDMI, one DVI and one VGA, while two DisplayPort connectors work as both input and output so a signal can pass to the next panel in a chain. Two RS232 ports, also usable as both input and output, let a central controller manage the wall. The panel supports HDCP 1.4 and receives commands from its infrared remote. It has no built-in speaker and is not OPS compatible, so audio and any media player must be planned separately and connected through the inputs listed above.

Installation planning and power

Each panel weighs 20.8 kg net and 28.5 kg packed, and measures 1021.98 x 576.57 x 95.5 mm. It mounts on 400 x 400 mm VESA holes with M6 fixings, so any wall bracket must match that pattern. An optional wall mount is listed by Hisense. Power consumption is 150 W, and the supply accepts 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V mains. The stated operating range is 10 to 40 degrees with 10% to 80% relative humidity. Summer temperatures in Qatar regularly exceed 45°C, so keep these panels in air-conditioned rooms and confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation. Our free site survey checks wall loading, sightlines, cable routes and whether the supplied power cord suits the sockets in the room.

Questions about 46L35B5U

Is the Hisense 46L35B5U still sold as a new product?

Hisense has discontinued the 46L35B5U, so it is no longer part of the manufacturer's current range. Request a quote and the SmartRooms Qatar team will confirm what can still be supplied for this model. Where it cannot, we will recommend a current equivalent or a compatible replacement that matches your panel size, resolution and wall layout. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Can I add panels to an existing 46L35B5U wall in a Lusail office?

Matching units matter. The 3.5mm bezel, 1920 x 1080 resolution and 500 nits brightness should line up across the whole wall, so new panels must closely match the existing ones. Send the panel count, the grid layout and the model details with your quote request. The team will check whether matching units can be supplied or whether a compatible replacement is the better way to extend the wall.

Will the panel stay readable in a West Bay mall atrium next to glass?

The panel is rated at 500 nits maximum brightness and has an anti-glare treatment with 25% haze, which reduces reflections from glass and overhead lights. Its 178-degree viewing angle helps shoppers passing from different directions read the content. Direct sunlight on the screen is still a challenge for any display, so position the wall away from the glass where possible and check the lighting during a site survey before fixing the frame.

Can these panels run in a Mesaieed warehouse without air conditioning?

No. The stated operating range is 10 to 40 degrees with 10% to 80% relative humidity, and summer temperatures in Mesaieed regularly exceed 45°C. Install the panels in an air-conditioned room such as a reception or control office, and avoid unventilated storage areas. Confirm the exact site conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before you request installation.

Does the 46L35B5U have built-in speakers?

No. The specification lists no built-in speaker, so the wall will be silent unless you connect an external audio system to the source or to a separate player. In a lobby or reception where sound matters, plan the audio route during the site survey and include it in your quote request so the cabling and sources are sized correctly from the start.

Can a Doha clinic run waiting-room content without a PC?

Yes, using the panel's own memory. The 46L35B5U has internal memory that lets you upload media for instant broadcast without external hardware, and it can run offline or from cloud-based content. Its dual-core system on chip supports round-the-clock operation, and you can choose your own content management system. Check that the memory suits your media library before ordering.

What inputs and outputs does the panel have?

Inputs are two HDMI, one DVI and one VGA. Two DisplayPort connectors work as both input and output, and the two RS232 ports also work as input and output. The panel supports HDCP 1.4. Use the DisplayPort output to pass the signal to the next panel in the chain, and the RS232 pair to link control across the wall. Confirm that your source devices match these connectors before ordering.

Is it compatible with OPS media players?

No. The specification states that the panel is not OPS type compatible, so a plug-in OPS media player cannot be fitted. Use an external player or a PC connected through HDMI or DisplayPort instead. Choose the player during planning so the mounting and cable runs leave room for it, especially in a retail store in Al Sadd where content changes often.

How heavy is each panel and what wall mount do I need?

Each panel weighs 20.8 kg net and 28.5 kg packed, and measures 1021.98 x 576.57 x 95.5 mm. It mounts on 400 x 400 mm VESA holes with M6 fixings. Hisense lists an optional wall mount, which you can request as part of your quotation. For a bank lobby in Msheireb or any tall wall, arrange a structural check during the free site survey to confirm the wall can carry the total weight of the grid.

What power does it need and will it work on Qatar mains?

The panel draws 150 W and its power supply is rated 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. A power cord is included. Confirm that the supplied cord fits the BS 1363 (Type G) sockets in your room and plan a dedicated socket for each panel. For a multi-panel wall, add up the total load and check the circuit during the site survey.

Is the panel covered by a warranty?

Yes, the panel is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The source data does not give the warranty period or terms, so we do not state them here. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the warranty terms that apply to your order in the written quotation before you issue a purchase order.

Can a government office in Doha buy this model with an LPO?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs), government tenders including Monaqasat, and payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Send the tender or LPO reference with your request, along with the number of panels and the wall layout. Because the model is discontinued, the quotation will confirm available units or a compatible replacement before the order is raised.
