What the Elo 4303L is and where it fits

The Elo 4303L is a 43-inch Full HD touch display built for commercial signage and interactive use, from endless-aisle product lookup and menu boards to collaborative meetings and dashboards. The panel runs at 1920 x 1080 with a 60 Hz refresh, shows 450 nits typical LCD brightness and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, and holds a 178-degree viewing angle horizontally and vertically. The manufacturer has discontinued this model and names the 4304L as its replacement.

Hotel reception in West Bay: a 43-inch check-in or wayfinding screen at the front desk, showing directions and event listings in place of printed directories.
Government service counter in Msheireb: a self-service information point that shows service steps, forms and queue information while staff handle complex cases.
Clinic waiting area in Al Rayyan: patient information and appointment dashboards on a wall or on a reception desk in tabletop mode.

Choosing between the two part numbers

The 4303L was sold with two touch technologies. Part number E720629 uses TouchPro PCAP touch with up to 40 touches, palm rejection and touch-through capability. Part number E721186 uses infrared touch with up to 20 touches. Typical brightness is 382 nits for the PCAP version and 405 nits for the infrared version.

PCAP touch-through supports up to 6 mm glass or 3 mm plastic with up to two touches, and works with gloves up to 1.4 mm. That makes the PCAP version the choice for a screen flush-mounted behind glass, placed behind a mirror or set into a counter or enclosed kiosk front.

Heat, mounting, power and connectivity

Operating temperature: 0 to 40 °C in portrait, landscape or tilt up to 15 degrees, and 0 to 35 °C in tabletop mode. Storage range is -20 to 60 °C.
Mounting: VESA 400 x 400 mm pattern. The PCAP unit measures 1007.44 x 595.67 x 59.82 mm and weighs 18.99 kg without the computer module or 21.09 kg with the ECMG4.
Power: 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz through an IEC 60320-C13 inlet. Typical draw is 47 W on and 1.43 W in sleep, or 83 W on with the ECMG4 module.

Summer temperatures in Qatar can push an uncooled corridor or a window-facing spot beyond the rated range, so keep the display in an air-conditioned indoor space and confirm the position with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation. Free site surveys are available, which helps with heavier units and wall-mounted installations.

The display offers two HDMI 1.4 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.2 input and a USB-C port for touch and video. A 3.5 mm TRS jack handles RS232 control, and four Elo Edge Connect micro USB 2.0 ports take accessories such as barcode scanners and cameras. Computing can be added with Elo's ECMG4 Windows module, listed for the IDS 03 and 53 series, or the Elo Backpack 4 for Android, which supports up to 1920 x 1080.

Questions about 4303L

Is the Elo 4303L still available to order?

The manufacturer has discontinued the 4303L and names the 4304L as its replacement. For a new project, request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Share your touch type, mounting method and accessories, and the SmartRooms Qatar team will check the options against your brief before quoting.

What is the difference between part numbers E720629 and E721186?

E720629 is the TouchPro PCAP version, supporting up to 40 touches with palm rejection and touch-through capability. E721186 is the infrared version, supporting up to 20 touches. Typical brightness is 382 nits for PCAP and 405 nits for infrared. Choose PCAP if the screen will sit behind glass or inside a kiosk front, and check the touch count your application needs before ordering.

Can the 4303L be mounted behind glass in a mall kiosk?

Yes, if you choose the PCAP version (E720629). It supports touch through up to 6 mm glass or 3 mm plastic with up to two touches, and works with gloves up to 1.4 mm thick. For a kiosk in a shopping mall in The Pearl, confirm the glass thickness and touch layout with the SmartRooms Qatar team during the site survey.

Will it cope with Doha summer heat in a lobby?

The rated operating range is 0 to 40 °C in portrait, landscape or tilt up to 15 degrees, and 0 to 35 °C in tabletop mode, with 20 to 80 percent humidity. Outdoor temperatures in Doha often exceed 45 °C in summer, so place the display in an air-conditioned lobby away from windows and direct sun, and confirm the position before installation.

Which inputs and ports does it provide for a meeting room or signage player?

The display has two HDMI 1.4 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.2 input and a USB-C port that carries both touch and video. A 3.5 mm TRS jack provides RS232 control, a separate 3.5 mm jack feeds headphones, and four Elo Edge Connect micro USB 2.0 ports take optional accessories. The RJ45 port is for an optional OSD remote.

Does it come with a computer?

No. The standard box contains cables and a quick install guide. Elo's ECMG4 Windows computer module, listed for the IDS 03 and 53 series, can be fitted to make the screen an all-in-one touch PC. For Android content, the Elo Backpack 4 is listed as an option and supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Is a 43-inch screen right for a hotel reception in West Bay?

A 43-inch panel suits a front desk, lift lobby or concierge counter, where guests read directions, check-in steps or event listings from close range. The 4000:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angle help content stay readable from the side. For larger lobbies, ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to compare sizes before you order a set of screens.

How would a government service counter in Msheireb use it?

It works as a self-service information point showing service steps, forms and queue information, so visitors can browse without a printed brochure while staff handle complex cases. Set it to portrait for forms, or use tabletop mode at a low counter. Government offices can buy through purchase orders or Monaqasat tenders, and quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Could a clinic in Al Rayyan use it in a waiting area?

Yes, for patient information and appointment displays. It can be wall-mounted in landscape or portrait, or placed in tabletop mode on a reception desk. Keep it away from direct sunlight and within the 0 to 40 °C range. Its two 8 W stereo speakers suit short audio alerts, while larger rooms will need an external sound system.

What wall or stand space do I need, and do I need a site survey?

The PCAP unit measures 1007.44 x 595.67 x 59.82 mm and weighs 18.99 kg without the ECMG4 module, or 21.09 kg with it. It uses a VESA 400 x 400 mm mounting pattern, and Elo lists a stand and a wall mount kit for 32 to 50 inch IDS models as options. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys to check the wall and cable routes before fixing.

Will it run on Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

The power input is rated 100 to 240 VAC at 50/60 Hz through an IEC 60320-C13 connector, so Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply falls within the rated range. The box includes power cables for North American, EU/Korean and UK plugs. Qatar uses BS 1363 (Type G) sockets, so confirm the correct plug or adapter with the SmartRooms Qatar team before ordering.

What warranty and support come with it?

The 4303L carries a 3-year warranty that includes advance unit replacement. If a fault cannot be resolved by phone, Elo sends a replacement unit with a prepaid return label for the defective one. Optional extensions run to 4 or 5 years, with or without advance unit replacement, and on-site exchange is available at additional cost. Specify these options in your quotation request.
