Overview

The Dell C8618QT is an 86-inch interactive touch monitor with 4K resolution, part of the Dell C Series within the interactive flat panels range. Dell has discontinued this model, so organisations that already run one, or buyers comparing displays, should note its status. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement for boardrooms, lecture halls and training rooms across Qatar.

What the Dell C8618QT offers

The Dell C8618QT is an 86-inch interactive touch monitor from the Dell C Series, sold within the interactive flat panels range. It combines a 4K display with touch input, so people in a room can work directly on the screen rather than passing a single controller around. Dell has discontinued this model, and that status shapes how you should approach a purchase.

Facts that matter for this model

Screen size: 86 inches, a large format for group viewing.
Resolution: 4K, which keeps fine text and detail sharp at this size.

Series: Dell C Series, within the interactive flat panels category.
Status: discontinued by Dell.

Brightness, connectivity, mounting options, power requirements and operating conditions are not part of the information we hold for this model. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm these points before you commit to a specification.

Where an 86-inch touch monitor fits in Qatar

Three situations suit a panel of this size. The first is a boardroom in West Bay or a ministry meeting room in Msheireb, where a group gathers around one screen and presents material from laptops. The second is a lecture hall or training room at an institution in Education City, where people seated at the back still need to read the content. The third is a school in Al Rayyan replacing an older classroom display with a larger screen for interactive lessons.

Buying a discontinued model

Because Dell no longer makes the C8618QT, buyers usually fall into one of two groups. Organisations that already run this model and need one more unit to match an existing setup should tell us the quantity, and we will check whether an identical unit can be supplied. Buyers who want current hardware should ask for a compatible replacement. Either way, the quotation confirms what is available.

Planning the installation

An 86-inch panel needs a wall or stand that can carry its size, along with a clear plan for viewing distance and cable routes. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys, and we recommend one before any wall-mounting work. The survey checks the wall structure, the room layout, the nearest power points and the route for cables from laptops, conferencing systems and network outlets. Confirm the electrical supply at the site rather than assuming it, because the power requirements for this model are not in our data.

Ordering from SmartRooms Qatar

Organisations can pay by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order, and ministries, schools and companies can issue an LPO. Government buyers can also procure through tenders, including Monaqasat. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and the warranty terms for this model are confirmed in the quotation.

To request a quote, send us the room type, the number of units and whether you need this exact model or a current equivalent. Our team usually responds with a quotation within one working day.

Questions about C8618QT

Is the Dell C8618QT still sold by Dell?

No. Dell has discontinued the C8618QT, so it is no longer offered as a current product by the manufacturer. SmartRooms Qatar can still request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, and availability is confirmed in the quotation. Organisations comparing displays in Doha should ask for both options so they can compare sizes and features before deciding.

What is the Dell C8618QT and who is it for?

The Dell C8618QT is an 86-inch 4K interactive touch monitor from the Dell C Series. It suits large meeting rooms, lecture halls and training rooms where a group works from one shared screen. Because the model is discontinued, it is most relevant to organisations that already run it or are looking for a like-for-like replacement.

What screen size and resolution does the C8618QT have?

The C8618QT has an 86-inch screen with 4K resolution, as shown in its model name. Those two figures make it suitable for rooms where people sit several metres from the panel. Brightness, viewing angles and other detailed figures are not in the information we hold, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm them before you specify the model.

Does the C8618QT support touch input?

Yes, the C8618QT is a touch monitor, so users interact directly with the screen. Touch input suits presentations, collaborative sessions and classroom activities. The number of touch points and any pen or finger support are not in our data for this model, so confirm them with our team before ordering.

Which Qatar rooms suit an 86-inch touch monitor?

A boardroom in West Bay or a ministry meeting room in Msheireb is a typical setting, where a group gathers around one screen and shares content from laptops. The panel is large enough for presenters and attendees to see the same material without crowding the display. Confirm the room layout and viewing distance during a site survey.

Is it suitable for a lecture hall or training room in Education City?

An 86-inch panel suits a large lecture hall or training room where students in the back rows need to read slides and annotations. Before buying, check the room dimensions, the seating layout and the power supply at the site. The product's electrical requirements are not in our data, so confirm them with the SmartRooms Qatar team.

Can a school in Al Rayyan use it to replace an older classroom display?

Yes, a school in Al Rayyan replacing an older display with a larger touch screen would typically compare this model with a current equivalent. Ask for both options in one quotation so the school can weigh screen size, touch features and availability. Confirm the wall or stand arrangement with a site survey before the old display is removed.

Do I need a site survey before mounting an 86-inch panel?

Yes, a site survey is recommended before any wall-mounting work. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys that check the wall structure, the viewing distance, the cable routes and the nearest power points. Mounting details and weight are not in our data for this model, so the survey is the right point to confirm the fixing method.

Can it be placed near windows or in an outdoor area in Qatar's summer heat?

The operating temperature range for the C8618QT is not in the data we hold, so do not assume it suits locations exposed to Qatar's summer heat, dust or direct sunlight. Confirm the environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before choosing a position near windows, entrances or lobby areas.

Which connections and bundled software does the C8618QT include?

Ports and bundled software are not listed in the information we hold for this model, so do not assume a specific connection. Send us details of your laptops, conferencing system and wall outlets, and our team will confirm which unit or current equivalent connects to them. Ask for this to be stated in the quotation.

Can a ministry or company order several units with an LPO?

Yes. Ministries, schools and companies in Qatar can issue a purchase order or LPO, and payment can also be made by bank transfer or cheque. Government buyers can procure through tenders, including Monaqasat. Tell us the number of units and the rooms they will serve so the quotation covers the full order.

Is the C8618QT covered by a warranty?

Products supplied through SmartRooms Qatar are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The warranty period and terms for this discontinued model are not in the information we hold, so ask our team to confirm them in your quotation before you place an order.
