65MR6DE

What the GoBoard Live display combines

The Hisense 65MR6DE brings a 65-inch 4K touch display, a camera, microphones and speakers into one unit, so most classrooms and meeting rooms do not need a separate webcam, soundbar or whiteboard. It runs Android 13 and carries Google certification, which gives teachers and staff direct access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs and Google Classroom from the screen. Hisense has discontinued this model, and this page is written for organisations that already own it, buyers comparing it with newer units, and anyone looking for a replacement.

Panel, touch and writing performance

The panel offers 3840 x 2160 resolution with 350 cd/m² typical brightness and a 1200:1 typical contrast ratio. Viewing angles are 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, so people seated at the sides of a room can still read the content clearly. The 10-bit panel shows 1.07 billion colours and covers 72% of the colour gamut, with an 8 ms response time at a 60 Hz refresh rate. The rated lifetime is 50,000 hours, and the manufacturer states TÜV Rheinland certification for reduced blue light.

Touch is handled by an infrared frame with anti-glare glass. It recognises up to 20 points at once, responds to objects 2 mm or larger, and specifies touch accuracy of 90% within ±1 mm. Pen tip writing, palm erasing and finger movement of objects are supported, and teachers get on-screen rulers, protractors and triangles.

Camera, microphones and speakers for hybrid sessions

• Integrated 4K camera with a physical cover and a privacy light
• Array of 8 microphones with speaker tracking and a 12 m pick-up distance
• Built-in speakers rated 2x15W+20W
• Dolby Atmos audio support

The camera is designed for video conferencing, and the microphone array locates the speaker in real time so remote participants see and hear the person talking. The physical cover lets staff close the lens when the camera is not in use, which matters in offices and staff rooms.

Where it fits in Qatar

A government ministry in West Bay holding a meeting with colleagues in another city can use the camera and microphone array for remote participants while the panel shows shared documents. A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a Year 5 classroom gets one device for whiteboard lessons, Google Classroom and video calls with other campuses. A consultancy in Lusail with a compact boardroom gets a 65-inch screen sized for a table of several people, with the camera handling its video calls.

What to plan before you order

• Net weight is 35 kg. The supplied wall bracket follows a 600 x 400 mm VESA pattern with four M8 screws, so a site survey before drilling is advisable.
• A mobile cart and an OPS computer module are listed as optional. The 240 W power figure is quoted without the OPS module, so add it when you plan electrical load.
• The power input accepts 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. Confirm that the supplied power cable suits BS 1363 sockets when you request a quote.
• The data sheet does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the room's temperature and sun exposure with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing it near a window or in a hot space.
• Standby consumption is below 0.5 W, and the manufacturer states Energy Star certification.

SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys before wall mounting, and quotations are usually issued within one working day. Schools and government buyers can order by LPO, through government tenders including Monaqasat, or pay by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Because the 65MR6DE is discontinued, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, and the quotation will confirm the expected lead time.
