Overview

The Hisense 65WR6BE is a 65-inch 4K interactive display that Hisense has discontinued. It pairs a 3840 x 2160 panel with a 20-point infrared touch frame, six array microphones and Android 8.0, and works with an optional 4K USB camera. It suits classrooms and meeting rooms in Doha that already run this model. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

A 65-inch 4K touch panel for rooms that already run the 65WR6BE

The Hisense 65WR6BE is a 65-inch interactive display with a 3840 x 2160 resolution panel. Hisense has discontinued this model, so this page is most useful for organisations that already own one, for buyers comparing it with newer Hisense models, and for anyone who needs a like-for-like unit to match an existing installation. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement, and quotations are usually provided within one working day.

Picture, touch and audio facts that matter in a meeting room

The panel is rated at 350 cd/m² typical brightness, with a 250,000:1 contrast ratio, an 85% colour gamut and 10-bit colour that produces 1.07 billion display colours. Its 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles keep content readable from seats well off-centre, and the 60Hz refresh rate with an 8ms response time suits presentations, annotation and video calls.

Touch comes from an infrared touch frame behind a 4mm anti-glare, optically bonded glass surface. The panel is rated for up to 20 simultaneous touch points, a touch accuracy of 90% within ±1mm and a minimum touch object size of 2mm, which lets several people write or annotate at the same time. The glass is heat-treated tempered glass, a useful detail in classrooms where pens and hands are busy.

Six array microphones are designed to filter out ambient noise, and the speakers are rated at 2 x 15W into 8Ω. Together these make the unit practical for hybrid meetings where the remote side needs to hear clearly.

Where this 65-inch model fits in Qatar

Classrooms and smaller teaching spaces: a private school in Al Wakrah or an Arabic-curriculum school in Al Rayyan fitting out a teaching room where a 65-inch screen is the right size.
Meeting rooms in West Bay, Lusail or Msheireb: a company or government office where teams in Doha connect with colleagues abroad. The plug-in 4K camera with a 120° lens connects over USB and is sold separately.
Training and consultation rooms: a clinic or training centre in Education City or the Industrial Area that needs a shared touch screen for presentations and annotation.

Doha summers regularly exceed 45°C. The specification sheet for this model does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the room environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installing it near windows, in a space without reliable air conditioning, or in a lobby exposed to dust.

What to plan for before delivery and mounting

The panel weighs 37kg net and 48kg packed, and its shipping carton measures 1720 x 1110 x 240mm, so plan for at least two people to lift it. The unit measures 1497 x 915 x 100mm and uses a 600 x 400mm VESA pattern with four M8 screws. A wall mount bracket is in the box, and a free site survey will confirm wall construction, load capacity and cable routes before fixing.

The power input is rated AC 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply, and consumption is 270W without the optional OPS module. Inputs include two HDMI, one DisplayPort, one USB-C, one LAN port, four USB ports (one for the camera), a touch port and RS232, plus an OPS slot. Outputs are HDMI, S/PDIF and audio. The box includes two stylus pens, a remote control, a wireless cast unit and a user manual.

To request a quote for the 65WR6BE or a current replacement, send the SmartRooms Qatar team the room size, the wall or stand type and whether you need the plug-in camera. A quotation usually follows within one working day, and supply, delivery to all eight municipalities of Qatar and professional installation can be arranged together.

Questions about 65WR6BE

Is the Hisense 65WR6BE still in production?

No. Hisense has discontinued the 65WR6BE, although it still appears in some of its current category listings. If your organisation already owns one, SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement for the same room. Send us the model code, the room size and a photo of the wall or stand, and we will set out the suitable options in the quotation.

We already have one 65WR6BE and need a matching unit for a second room. What should we do?

Request a quotation for a current equivalent or compatible replacement, and quote the model code 65WR6BE with the plan of the new room. Because this model is discontinued, a replacement may not match the existing unit exactly in ports, the optional OPS slot or the wall bracket, so compare these before ordering. A free site survey can check the second room's wall and power points first, and quotations usually arrive within one working day.

Who is this 65-inch model best suited to?

It suits a smaller classroom, a seminar room or a mid-sized meeting room where a 65-inch screen fills the wall without overwhelming the space. The 20-point touch frame lets two or three people annotate together during group work, and the 4K panel keeps slides and documents sharp at close range. For a lecture hall or large boardroom, an 86-inch screen is usually the better fit, and sizes can be compared in your quotation.

What resolution, brightness and contrast does it offer?

The panel has a 3840 x 2160 resolution, a typical brightness of 350 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 250,000:1. It shows 10-bit colour, which gives 1.07 billion display colours, with an 85% colour gamut, 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, a 60Hz refresh rate and an 8ms response time. For a room with large windows, place the screen away from direct sunlight and check glare on site during the survey.

How accurate and responsive is the touch function?

The infrared touch frame recognises up to 20 touch points at once, which suits group activities where several people write or drag objects together. Touch accuracy is rated at 90% within ±1mm, the minimum touch object size is 2mm and the touch response time is 8ms or less. The surface is 4mm anti-glare glass that is heat-treated tempered glass, which helps protect the touch panel in busy classrooms.

Is the camera included, and what does it add to video calls?

No. The plug-in camera is purchased separately. It is a 4K USB camera with a 120° wide-angle lens and connects to one of the four USB ports on the panel. A team in Doha speaking with colleagues abroad can see the whole room, and the 4K image sensor is designed to keep people visible in dim light. Add the camera as a separate line in your quotation if you need it.

What inputs and outputs does it have for connecting laptops and other devices?

The inputs are two HDMI, one DisplayPort, one USB-C, one LAN port, four USB ports (one reserved for the camera), one touch port and one RS232 port. The outputs are one HDMI, one S/PDIF and one audio output. An optional OPS slot is available for an OPS computer module. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm which cables and adaptors your current laptops and video conferencing system need.

Will it run on Qatar's power supply?

The power input is rated AC 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers the 240 V, 50 Hz supply used in Qatar. Power consumption is 270W without the optional OPS module, and the box includes a power cable. In rooms with several units, ask your electrician to confirm circuit capacity and socket position, and settle the socket location during the site survey.

Can it be wall-mounted in a boardroom in West Bay?

Yes. The unit uses a 600 x 400mm VESA pattern with four M8 screws, and a wall mount bracket is included in the box. It weighs 37kg net and 48kg packed, so the wall structure and fixings must be checked before installation. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey to confirm wall type, load capacity and cable routes in West Bay buildings, and professional installation can be included in the same quotation.

Can it be installed near a window or in a space without air conditioning?

The specification sheet for this model does not state an operating temperature range, so do not assume it will cope with a hot space. Keep it in an air-conditioned room away from direct sunlight, and ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the environment before ordering. Doha summers often exceed 45°C and dust can enter poorly sealed rooms, so this check matters most for lobbies and rooms with large windows.

We are a school ordering several units through an LPO. Can you help?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supplies against purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Because this model is discontinued, send the full room list with the model code, and we will quote a current equivalent or compatible replacement for each room. Each unit is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and installation can follow once the site surveys are complete.
