Overview

The Hisense 86MR6DE is an 86-inch interactive display from the GoBoard Live range, combining a 4K panel, a built-in 4K camera with privacy cover, an eight-microphone array and Android 13. Hisense has discontinued this model, so schools, offices and government teams in Qatar that need a similar all-in-one board should request a quote for a current or compatible replacement from SmartRooms Qatar.

What the Hisense 86MR6DE is built to do

The 86MR6DE is part of Hisense's MR6DE series, sold as GoBoard Live. It is an 86-inch interactive display that brings a large touch panel, a whiteboard, an Android computer and a video conferencing camera into one unit. In a classroom or boardroom in Doha, that can replace a projector, a separate camera and a tangle of cables with a single screen.

Hisense has discontinued this model. Schools and offices that already run it, and buyers comparing it with newer boards, can ask SmartRooms Qatar for a quote on a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Panel, touch and writing performance

The 3840 x 2160 panel delivers 4K detail with a typical brightness of 350 cd/m² and a typical contrast ratio of 4000:1. The 178-degree viewing angle horizontally and vertically means students at the sides of a room see the same content as those at the front. The panel shows 10-bit colour with a 72% colour gamut, which suits lesson materials, charts and presentations. The lifetime rating is 50,000 hours.

The infrared touch frame recognises up to 20 touch points with a minimum touch object of 2 mm, and touch accuracy is rated at 90% within ±1 mm. The software supports pen-tip writing, cap erasing and palm erasing, along with teaching tools such as rulers, protractors and triangles.

Camera, microphones and speakers for hybrid meetings

The integrated 4K camera removes the need for a separate webcam on a conference table. It has a physical cover for privacy and a working light for visibility on calls, which suits a staff room or boardroom where people want the camera clearly off when not in use. The eight-microphone array uses speaker tracking to locate the voice in real time, with a stated pick-up distance of 12 m. The two built-in speakers are rated 2x15W+20W, suitable for a meeting room, while a large hall will still need a dedicated sound system.

Connectivity, Android 13 and room integration

The display runs Android 13.0 and is Google certified, giving access to Google Classroom, Google Drive, Gmail and the Play Store. Wi-Fi covers IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, with Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. Inputs include three HDMI 2.0 ports, three USB 3.0 ports, a USB-C port with 65 W power delivery, a LAN port, a touch input and an optional OPS slot. Outputs include HDMI, S/PDIF and audio, plus two RS-232 outputs for control systems. Power draw is listed at 430 W maximum without OPS and under 0.5 W on standby.

Planning a 58.5 kg installation before you order

The net weight is 58.5 kg and the packed weight is 74.5 kg, with a VESA pattern of 1000 x 600 mm and four M8 screws. The box includes one wall mount bracket, two pens, a remote control, two batteries, a power cable and a user manual. Before ordering, confirm that the wall or the optional mobile cart can carry the load. SmartRooms Qatar offers free site surveys to check wall structure, power and cable routes before installation. The mains input is listed at 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz. The data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm room conditions, especially near windows in summer, before committing.

To request a quote for the 86MR6DE, or for a current equivalent or compatible replacement, send SmartRooms Qatar your room type, number of units and preferred payment route, whether bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Quotations are usually issued within one working day.

Questions about 86MR6DE

Is the Hisense 86MR6DE still sold by Hisense?

No. Hisense has discontinued the 86MR6DE and lists it among its end-of-life products, so new units may not be available from the manufacturer. SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement that matches your room size and camera needs. Send your room type and quantity to start the quotation, which is usually issued within one working day.

Is an 86-inch GoBoard Live suited to a boardroom in West Bay?

It suits a boardroom or large meeting room where several people sit around a table and others join by video. The 3840 x 2160 panel with a 178-degree viewing angle keeps presentations readable from the far end. The integrated 4K camera, eight-microphone array with a 12 m pick-up distance and two speakers mean the room can host video calls without extra hardware. Confirm that the wall can take a 58.5 kg unit.

How does the built-in camera help meetings that link Doha to teams abroad?

The integrated 4K camera handles video calls directly from the display, which is useful when a Doha team meets colleagues in another country and nobody has to set up a separate webcam. It has a physical privacy cover and a working light, so attendees can close it when discussing sensitive matters. Paired with the eight microphones and their 12 m pick-up distance, it helps every person around the table be heard clearly.

What are the panel brightness, contrast and colour specifications?

The panel has a 3840 x 2160 resolution, a typical brightness of 350 cd/m², a typical contrast ratio of 4000:1 and an 8 ms response time. It uses a D-LED backlight and shows 10-bit colour with a 72% colour gamut. The refresh rate is 60 Hz and the viewing angle is 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. These figures suit lessons and presentations rather than professional colour grading.

How accurate and responsive is the touch?

The infrared touch frame supports up to 20 touch points, with accuracy rated at 90% within ±1 mm and a minimum touch object of 2 mm. The manufacturer data lists theoretical touch clicks as unlimited and multi-touch support on Windows and Android. Test pens and finger touch in your own lesson or meeting setup during the site survey before you finalise the order.

Does the 86MR6DE support Arabic menus and keyboards for an Arabic-curriculum school?

The operating system language list in the manufacturer data covers Chinese, English, Polish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Finnish, Norwegian, Swedish, Thai, Indonesian and Japanese, and does not include Arabic. Before ordering for an Arabic-curriculum school or an office that works in Arabic and English, ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm Arabic interface and keyboard support on the unit quoted. Do not assume it from the listed languages.

Which inputs and wireless options can teachers use to connect laptops?

Three HDMI 2.0 inputs and three USB 3.0 ports cover wired laptops and peripherals, and a USB-C input provides power delivery of up to 65 W. Wireless options include Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC. The data also lists Miracast, DLNA and Webcast support, and dual Wi-Fi modules that run a screen-sharing hotspot alongside a network connection.

Will it add much to energy use in a hotel conference room in West Bay?

The listed maximum power consumption is 430 W without an OPS module, and standby draw is below 0.5 W. The built-in ambient light sensor adjusts brightness to room lighting, which helps in conference rooms used for short, frequent sessions. The manufacturer states that the display is Energy Star certified. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to review your power circuit and cable routes during the free site survey.

What wall mount and weight details do I need for an office building in Msheireb?

The net weight is 58.5 kg and the packed weight is 74.5 kg. The VESA pattern is 1000 x 600 mm with four M8 screws, and one wall mount bracket is included in the box. Because of the weight, SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before installation to check wall structure, fixing points and cable routes in the Msheireb building before anything is mounted.

Are the OPS module and mobile cart included?

The manufacturer data lists a mobile cart and OPS as optional items. The single OPS slot accepts a plug-in computer module, and the 430 W figure applies without OPS. The listed box contents are a user manual, two pens, a remote control, a power cable, two batteries and one wall mount bracket, and a wireless cast unit is listed as optional. Ask for a quote that states exactly which optional items are included.

Can a government ministry in Doha order several units through a tender or LPO?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar handles purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and accepts payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Send the quantity, delivery locations across Qatar's eight municipalities and any tender reference, and the team will quote for a current or compatible replacement. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, and lead times are confirmed with the quotation based on stock.

Can the 86MR6DE sit next to a window in a Doha office during summer?

The manufacturer data in this record does not give an operating temperature range, so high-heat performance cannot be confirmed from the specification. Summer temperatures in Doha can exceed 45°C, so ask SmartRooms Qatar to check the planned position, including window glare, direct sun and the air-conditioned environment, before the installation is confirmed. The anti-glare glass surface may reduce reflections, but room conditions still need confirming.
