Overview

The Hisense 86WR6BE is an 86-inch 4K interactive display that the manufacturer has discontinued. It pairs a 3840 x 2160 panel with 10-bit colour, a 4000:1 contrast ratio and an infrared touch frame that reads up to 20 touches at once. Android 8.0 runs with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. It suits boardrooms and training rooms in Doha. Request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement.

What the Hisense 86WR6BE offers

The Hisense 86WR6BE is an 86-inch interactive display from the WR6BE series. It brings a large 4K panel, touch input, built-in Android software and speakers into one unit, so presentations and whiteboard sessions can run from the panel itself. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. This page is for organisations that already run one, buyers comparing it with newer displays, and anyone who needs a replacement for it.

Picture, touch and sound

The panel runs at 3840 x 2160 with a D-LED backlight, 370 cd/m² typical brightness and a 4000:1 contrast ratio. It shows 10-bit colour across an 85% colour gamut and refreshes at 60Hz, with 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles. An anti-glare layer on the 4mm tempered glass cuts reflections from bright lights in the room. The infrared touch frame recognises up to 20 touches at once, responds within 8ms and registers objects from 2mm. Two 15W speakers deliver 2x15W into 8 ohms.

Two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input and one USB Type-C port for laptops and sources
Four USB ports, with one reserved for the plug-in 4K camera
One optional OPS slot for a plug-in computer module
LAN, RS232 input and HDMI, S/PDIF and audio outputs for control and room integration

Software, wireless sharing and power

The display runs Android 8.0 with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. Wireless screen transmission links the panel to two or more auxiliary devices, and NFC touch transmission and A&C screen transmission help staff share content quickly. The power input accepts AC 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which includes the 240 V, 50 Hz supply used in Qatar, and power consumption without an OPS module is listed at 460W. The box contains a wall mount bracket, a remote control, two stylus pens, two batteries, a wireless cast unit, a power cable, four hanging wheels and the user manual.

Where it fits in Qatar

An 86-inch panel suits rooms where a larger group shares one screen. Typical sites include:

A corporate boardroom in West Bay or Lusail, where the six array microphones help filter background noise on video calls with teams abroad when paired with the optional camera
A lecture hall or seminar room at a university in Education City, where up to 20 simultaneous touches let several students annotate the same slide
A ministry meeting room in Msheireb, where staff work across Arabic and English documents and need to share screens from their own devices

What to plan before you order

The panel measures 1957 x 1178 x 94mm and weighs 62kg net, or 82kg packed, so a wall mount needs a site survey to confirm the wall can carry the load. The VESA pattern is 1000 x 400mm with four M8 screws. The camera and OPS module are optional, so list them on your request if you need them. The data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing the panel near a window or in a space that receives direct sun. Ask your IT team to review the Android 8.0 platform against your software needs.

Free site surveys are available, and we usually respond to quote requests within one working day. Organisations buying through an LPO or a Monaqasat tender can send their requirements with the request. Request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement, and we will match the size, touch and connectivity you need.

Questions about 86WR6BE

Is the Hisense 86WR6BE still available new?

Hisense has discontinued the 86WR6BE, so new stock may be limited. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or compatible replacement that matches your screen size, touch needs and ports. Send us your room size, the sources you connect and whether you need a plug-in camera, and our team will advise on the closest match.

What is this display best suited for in Qatar?

The 86-inch size suits boardrooms, lecture halls and large training rooms rather than small huddle spaces. In a corporate boardroom in West Bay, a 20-point touch frame lets several people work on the same screen during a session. Request a quote after confirming the room dimensions and seating so we can check the size fits.

Does it work with Qatar's 240 V mains supply?

The power input is rated AC 100 V to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers the 240 V, 50 Hz supply used in Qatar. Power consumption without an OPS module is listed at 460W, which helps when planning circuits. Check that the supplied power cable's plug suits the BS 1363 socket in your room before installation.

What picture quality does it deliver?

The panel offers 3840 x 2160 resolution, 370 cd/m² typical brightness and a 4000:1 contrast ratio, with 10-bit colour and an 85% colour gamut. It refreshes at 60Hz and has 178° viewing angles horizontally and vertically, so people seated at the sides can still read the content. The anti-glare glass reduces reflections from bright room lighting.

Which ports are available for laptops and conference systems?

There are two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input, one USB Type-C port, one LAN port, one RS232 input and one touch port. Four USB ports are fitted, and one of them is reserved for the camera. HDMI, S/PDIF and audio outputs are also provided. If you are connecting a conference system, list the ports it needs in your quote request.

Is the camera included, and how does it connect?

No. The 4K plug-in USB camera with a 120° angle is purchased separately and connects through one of the four USB ports. For a hybrid meeting between Doha and a head office abroad, the wide angle helps capture everyone seated at the table. Mention the camera in your quote request if you need it with the panel.

How is it mounted and how heavy is it?

The panel weighs 62kg net and 82kg packed, and measures 1957 x 1178 x 94mm. The VESA pattern is 1000 x 400mm with four M8 screws, and a wall mount bracket is included in the box. Because of the weight, we recommend a site survey to confirm the wall structure, height and cable routing before installation.

Can it go in a sunny lobby or near windows in summer?

The data does not list an operating temperature range, so we cannot confirm performance in high heat. Summer temperatures in Doha can exceed 45°C, so confirm the conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before choosing a position near windows or direct sunlight. The anti-glare glass reduces reflections, but it does not replace a suitable location.

Does it suit a university lecture hall in Education City?

It suits lecture halls well for size and interaction. The touch frame reads up to 20 touches at once, detects objects from 2mm and has a 178° viewing angle. Students can annotate the same slide, and the wireless screen transmission lets them share content from their own devices. Request a quote with the room dimensions so the distance and seating can be checked.

How do staff share screens wirelessly?

The display supports wireless screen transmission with two or more auxiliary devices, and it also offers NFC touch transmission and A&C screen transmission. A wireless cast unit is included in the box. Confirm which devices your staff use, because compatibility determines the best setup for the office before you order.

What operating system and storage does it use?

It runs Android 8.0 with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. If your team relies on specific apps, ask your IT staff to check compatibility with this Android version before purchase. An optional OPS slot is available for those who need an additional computer module.

Can a government department buy it through an LPO or tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar supplies through purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, with payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Because this model is discontinued, the quotation will cover the closest current equivalent, which should be specified in the tender documents. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
