Overview

The Newline RS+ Series is a discontinued range of 4K UHD interactive displays in 65, 75 and 86 inch sizes, with infrared touch for up to 20 points on Windows. The 65-inch model suits a classroom, the 75-inch a meeting room and the 86-inch a boardroom or lecture hall. Organisations in Qatar that already own these panels, or need a current equivalent, can request a quote.

What the RS+ Series is and which size fits

The Newline RS+ Series is a range of 4K UHD interactive displays sold in three sizes: the TT-6519RS at 65 inches, the TT-7519RS at 75 inches and the TT-8619RS at 86 inches. Every panel is a 16:9 LED display with a 3840 x 2160 pixel grid, so all three sizes share the same sharpness while the display area grows from 1432 x 807 mm to 1893 x 1069 mm.

Newline has discontinued the RS+ Series. This page is written for schools and offices that already run these panels, for buyers comparing them with newer models, and for anyone who needs a replacement. Request a quote and we will recommend a current equivalent or a compatible replacement for your room.

Image specifications include a minimum brightness of 370 cd/m², 4000:1 dynamic contrast and a 178 degree viewing angle, with 1.07 billion displayable colours and a rated life of at least 50,000 hours. The anti-glare tempered glass front has an anti-fingerprint treatment, which helps in rooms with windows or strong overhead lighting.

Touch, writing and software

The touch layer is infrared. The datasheet lists 20 touch points on Windows and 10 on Android. The panel recognises fingers, the fine pen and the palm, and responds as a marker, a thin pen or an eraser depending on the input. A teacher or presenter can annotate over any connected source, and object recognition helps a group mark up a document or spreadsheet live.

The built-in system runs Android 8.0 with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB plus 32 GB of storage listed in the datasheet. A Wi-Fi dongle is included, firmware updates are delivered over the air, and the classroom tools widget provides a timer, traffic light and stopwatch that stay available as you move between screens.

Ports, power and mounting

Normal power consumption is up to 170 W for the 65-inch model, 260 W for the 75-inch and 320 W for the 86-inch, with standby below 0.5 W. The mains input is rated 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz with a maximum current of 3.0 A, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. Your electrician should still check the circuit and socket for the room before installation.

An OPS slot supporting 4K at 60 Hz accepts an OPS PC, so a Windows computer can sit inside the display rather than on a desk. Front and rear inputs include HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, USB-A touch connections and an RJ45 LAN input, while the rear panel adds an RS232 serial port, a line output, an S/PDIF output and a LAN output. Port layouts differ by size, so confirm the exact configuration for the model you choose. The two forward-facing 15 W speakers are rated at 8 ohms.

  • 65-inch: 1546 x 944 x 96 mm, net 44 kg, VESA 600 x 400 mm
  • 75-inch: 1770 x 1071 x 109 mm, net 56 kg, VESA 800 x 400 mm
  • 86-inch: 2019 x 1212 x 109 mm, net 72 kg, VESA 800 x 400 mm

Where it fits in Qatar

  • A primary classroom in Al Wakrah: the 65-inch panel fits a teaching wall, and its 44 kg net weight is manageable for a wall bracket fitted by a professional installer.
  • A seminar room at a university in Education City: the 75-inch model gives a small group a clear shared screen, and up to 20 touch points let several people write at once on Windows.
  • A boardroom or lecture hall in West Bay or Msheireb: the 86-inch model, with its 1893 x 1069 mm display area and 178 degree viewing angle, suits larger rooms, but the wall and access route should be planned first.

The datasheet does not publish an operating temperature range for this series, so do not assume it suits a sunny lobby or a room with direct sunlight through glass during Qatar's summer. Plan for an air-conditioned indoor space and confirm the exact environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installation.

Planning the installation

An 86-inch panel weighs 72 kg net and 93 kg gross, so book a free site survey to check the wall, the bracket and the route into the room. SmartRooms Qatar delivers to all eight municipalities of Qatar and provides professional installation. For schools and ministries ordering several units, we accept purchase orders (LPOs) and respond to government tenders, including Monaqasat.

Because this model is discontinued, include your room size, mounting type and port requirements in your request so the team can match a current equivalent. Quotations usually come back within one working day. Payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order is accepted, and products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Request a quote today.

Questions about RS+ Series

Is the Newline RS+ Series still available to order?
No. The manufacturer has discontinued the RS+ Series in its 65-inch (TT-6519RS), 75-inch (TT-7519RS) and 86-inch (TT-8619RS) sizes. SmartRooms Qatar can quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement based on your room size, mounting and connection needs. Send the existing model and room details with your quote request, and the team will confirm the options available.
Which RS+ size suits a classroom?
The 65-inch TT-6519RS suits a standard classroom or small meeting room. Its display area is 1432 x 807 mm, its net weight is 44 kg and it uses a 600 x 400 mm VESA mount. It suits a teaching wall where students sit a few metres away. Check that the wall can carry the weight before mounting, and ask for a site survey if the wall is unfamiliar.
How many people can write on the screen at the same time?
The datasheet lists up to 20 touch points on Windows and 10 on Android, using infrared touch and a fine pen. That means several students or team members can annotate at the same time, for example during a group maths exercise at a school in Lusail. Confirm the number of touch points you need for the operating system you plan to use before ordering.
Can I connect a Windows PC to the RS+?
Yes, through the OPS slot, which supports 4K at 60 Hz. The datasheet lists an OPS PC as available, so a Windows computer can be fitted inside the display instead of sitting on a separate desk. Other inputs include HDMI and USB-A touch connections. Port layouts vary by size, so review the exact configuration with your quote.
Does the RS+ include Wi-Fi and software updates?
A Wi-Fi dongle is included with the RS+ Series, and the datasheet lists over-the-air firmware updates. The built-in Android 8.0 system has 3 GB of RAM and includes a classroom tools widget with a timer, traffic light and stopwatch, which suits school lessons. Ask your IT team to review the wireless setup and network policy before the panel arrives on site.
What power does the RS+ need in Qatar?
Normal power consumption is up to 170 W for the 65-inch, 260 W for the 75-inch and 320 W for the 86-inch, with standby below 0.5 W. The mains input is rated 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz with a maximum current of 3.0 A, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. A qualified electrician should still check the circuit and the BS 1363 socket in the room before installation.
Can an 86-inch RS+ be wall-mounted in a boardroom?
Yes. The 75-inch and 86-inch models use an 800 x 400 mm VESA pattern. The 86-inch panel weighs 72 kg net and measures 2019 x 1212 x 109 mm, so the wall, bracket and access route need checking first. SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey and professional installation across Qatar before the panel is fitted.
Is the RS+ suitable for a sunny lobby or a room with windows?
The datasheet does not publish an operating temperature range for this series, so it should not be assumed to suit high heat or direct sunlight. Choose an air-conditioned indoor room and avoid a position where afternoon summer sun falls on the glass. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to review the site before we prepare your quotation.
Which model suits a lecture hall or large boardroom in West Bay?
The 86-inch TT-8619RS suits large rooms. Its display area is 1893 x 1069 mm and its viewing angle is 178 degrees, so people seated to the sides can still see the content clearly. Its minimum brightness of 370 cd/m² and two forward-facing 15 W speakers help in larger spaces. Compare the viewing distance and room lighting before choosing, and request a quote to confirm the best fit.
Can several schools or ministries order RS+ panels together?
Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat, and quotations usually arrive within one working day. Delivery covers all eight municipalities of Qatar. For a group of classrooms in Al Wakrah or Al Khor, send the list of sizes and mount types for each room so the quotation covers every location.
Which ports matter for a control system or video conferencing setup?
The rear panel includes an RS232 serial port, a line output, an S/PDIF output and a LAN output, along with USB-A ports and an RJ45 LAN input. These connections can support room control and audio routing when the panel is linked to other equipment. Port layouts differ by size, so confirm the final design with your systems integrator before relying on a specific connection.
