A discontinued 4K range for classrooms and meeting rooms

Discontinued model notice: Newline has discontinued the TRUTOUCH RS Series. This page serves organisations that already run these panels, buyers comparing them with newer models, and anyone looking for a replacement. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement for your room.

The series covers three sizes: the 65-inch TT-6519RS, the 75-inch TT-7519RS and the 86-inch TT-8619RS. Each panel is a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) LED display with 1.07 billion colours, brightness of at least 370 cd/m², a dynamic contrast ratio of 4000:1, a 178° viewing angle and a rated life of at least 30,000 hours.

Touch, ports and software that matter day to day

Touch is infrared, sitting behind anti-glare tempered glass with an anti-fingerprint treatment. The panel supports 20 touch points on Windows and 10 on Android, and it recognises pen, finger and fist input, so several people can write at the board at once. The writing pen is a fine pen.

Front ports differ by size. The 65-inch model has one HDMI 1.4 input (4K at 30Hz), one USB-A touch port, two USB 2.0 ports and a microphone input. The 75-inch and 86-inch models add two HDMI 2.0 inputs (4K at 60Hz), a DisplayPort 1.2 input, a VGA input, a PC audio input and four USB-A touch ports. At the rear you will find RS232, RJ45 input and output, USB-A and USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 output, SPDIF and line out. An OPS port supports 4K at 60Hz or 30Hz. The panel runs Android 8.0 with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB + 32 GB of storage. A Wi-Fi dongle is included, and firmware updates arrive over the air.

Where this range fits in Qatar

Primary and secondary classrooms: A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out classrooms with the 75-inch panel for lessons delivered in Arabic and English, with the 65-inch model in smaller rooms.
Training and seminar rooms: A training centre in Education City using the 86-inch panel in a seminar room where a group works through material together at the screen.
Meeting rooms: A corporate office in West Bay placing a 65-inch panel in a smaller meeting room for team reviews during the Sunday to Thursday working week.

What to plan before ordering

Plan the mounting first. The panels weigh 45 kg (65-inch), 59 kg (75-inch) and 74 kg (86-inch). Outline dimensions are 1546 x 944 x 96 mm, 1770 x 1071 x 109 mm and 2019 x 1212 x 109 mm. VESA patterns are 600 x 400 mm for the 65-inch model and 800 x 400 mm for the 75-inch and 86-inch models. A free site survey helps confirm wall structure and bracket fitting before delivery.

Plan the power and the environment too. The working voltage is AC 100-240V at 50/60Hz. Maximum normal consumption is 170W, 260W and 320W for the three sizes, with standby under 0.5W. The source data does not list an operating temperature range, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the right environment for the room, especially if the panel faces windows.

Request a quote for the replacement that fits your room. Send your room size, mounting wall and the ports you need, and the team will prepare a quotation that matches your site.

Questions about TRUTOUCH RS Series

Is the Newline TRUTOUCH RS Series still sold by Newline?

No. Newline has discontinued the TRUTOUCH RS Series, which covers the 65-inch TT-6519RS, 75-inch TT-7519RS and 86-inch TT-8619RS. If you already own these panels, SmartRooms Qatar can review your room, mounts and ports against a replacement before you decide. If you need a new panel, request a quote for a current equivalent or a compatible replacement that matches your room size and wall.

Which size suits a boardroom in West Bay or a classroom in Al Wakrah?

A 65-inch TT-6519RS, with a 1429 x 804 mm display area and 45 kg weight, suits a smaller classroom or meeting room in Al Wakrah or West Bay. The 75-inch TT-7519RS (1650 x 928 mm, 59 kg) fits a mid-size classroom or boardroom. For a lecture hall or large boardroom where many people sit far from the screen, the 86-inch TT-8619RS offers a 1895 x 1066 mm display area at 74 kg.

Can the panel go in a sun-facing room in Lusail during summer?

The source data does not list an operating temperature range for this series, so no figure can be quoted for summer conditions. Summer temperatures in Qatar often exceed 45°C, and sun-facing or window-side rooms can run hotter than the rest of a building. Ask SmartRooms Qatar to confirm the approved environment for the exact room, and check the air conditioning and window treatment before the panel is mounted.

Can several students in a Doha school write on the screen at once?

Yes, within the touch limits. The panel supports 20 touch points on Windows and 10 on Android, using infrared touch under anti-glare tempered glass. It recognises pen, finger and fist input, and the writing pen is a fine pen. Teachers can run group activities at the board, with students working in turn or at the same time, depending on the software and operating system in use.

What ports does a training centre need for a laptop and a classroom PC?

Port layout depends on the size. The 75-inch and 86-inch models have two HDMI 2.0 inputs (4K at 60Hz), a DisplayPort 1.2 input, a VGA input and a PC audio input at the front, which covers a laptop and a second source. The 65-inch model has one HDMI 1.4 input that supports 4K at 30Hz, so a training centre that needs two 4K sources should plan for the larger models. The rear also has an RS232 port and RJ45 input and output.

What is the OPS port for, and is an OPS PC included?

The OPS port is a slot for an optional computer module that plugs into the panel and supports 4K at 60Hz or 30Hz. The source data lists an OPS PC as available, but it does not say whether one is included in the standard package, so confirm the configuration with SmartRooms Qatar when you request a quote. Choose an OPS PC only if you need a computer built into the display.

Does the panel include Wi-Fi?

A Wi-Fi dongle is included with the panel, so it can connect to a wireless network through that dongle. Firmware updates are delivered over the air, so updates do not need a USB drive. Before installation, confirm with your IT team that your network policy allows a Wi-Fi dongle in classrooms or boardrooms.

Which operating systems does the panel run?

The panel has Android 8.0 built in, with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB + 32 GB of storage. Its touch function supports Windows at up to 20 touch points, while Android touch is rated at 10 points. The manufacturer lists Windows, Android and Chrome compatibility, so confirm your exact Windows setup and software with SmartRooms Qatar before ordering.

Does it run on Qatar's 240 V mains?

The working voltage is AC 100-240V at 50/60Hz with a maximum current of 3.0A, so it is rated to operate on Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz supply. Normal consumption is up to 170W for the 65-inch, 260W for the 75-inch and 320W for the 86-inch, and standby draw is under 0.5W. Have your electrician confirm the socket and cable arrangement for the room.

How should a hotel in The Pearl plan the wall mount for an 86-inch panel?

Start with the weight: the 86-inch TT-8619RS weighs 74 kg and measures 2019 x 1212 x 109 mm. It uses a VESA pattern of 800 x 400 mm. Book a free site survey so the wall structure, bracket and fixings are checked before delivery, and so the team can confirm the viewing distance for the hotel meeting room.

Can a government ministry order several panels through an LPO or a Monaqasat tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar handles purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders, including Monaqasat. Payment is by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. For several TRUTOUCH RS panels, send the sizes, quantities and mounting locations so the quotation lists each model with its VESA and installation requirements.

Are the built-in speakers suitable for a lecture hall?

The speakers are forward-facing, rated 2 x 15 W with 8Ω impedance. Whether that is enough for a lecture hall depends on the room size and audience, so test the sound level in the actual room during the site survey. Consider external audio if the back rows need more volume.
