Name: Newline TRUTOUCH UB Series 4K Interactive Display (Discontinued)
Brand: Newline
SKU: newline-trutouch-ub
Availability: Discontinued

Overview

The Newline TRUTOUCH UB Series is a discontinued 4K UHD multi-touch interactive display sold in 65, 75 and 86-inch sizes. Several users can touch and annotate the screen at once, and its tech-free pens need no batteries. The manufacturer has discontinued this model, so SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement for boardrooms, classrooms and training rooms across Qatar.

What the TRUTOUCH UB Series is

The Newline TRUTOUCH UB Series is a 4K UHD interactive display built around Ultra-HD LED multi-touch technology. It was offered in three sizes, 65-inch, 75-inch and 86-inch, so one range could cover small meeting rooms through to large boardrooms. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. Organisations that already own units, and buyers comparing options, can use the specifications below to plan a like-for-like replacement.

Display area, weight and resolution by size

All three sizes carry 4K UHD resolution, but the active display area and the weight increase with the panel. The 65-inch model has a display area of 1428.5 x 803.5 mm and weighs 43 kg. The 75-inch model measures 1650.5 x 973 mm and weighs 57 kg. The 86-inch model offers 1895 x 1066 mm of display area and weighs 72 kg.

65-inch: 1428.5 x 803.5 mm, 43 kg
75-inch: 1650.5 x 973 mm, 57 kg
86-inch: 1895 x 1066 mm, 72 kg

These weights matter for wall fixing and for the route through lifts and stairwells to the room. The manufacturer lists the model codes TT-6516UB, TT-7516UB and TT-8616UB.

Multi-touch, pens and annotation in practice

Multi-touch lets several participants work on the screen at the same time, which suits brainstorming sessions and joint document review. The panel responds to touch in much the same way as a phone or tablet, so tapping, pinching and scrolling feel familiar. It ships with tech-free pens that contain no batteries or electronics to fail, and users can also draw or move objects with a finger. Built-in annotation and a basic whiteboard tool let people mark up images without installing software on their own laptops.

Where it fits in Qatar

A 65-inch unit suits a smaller classroom or a team meeting room in an office in Al Sadd or Msheireb, where a presenter and a few colleagues share one screen. The 75-inch size fits a training room at a university or training centre in Education City, where instructors annotate course material for a group. The 86-inch model suits a boardroom in West Bay or Lusail, where executives need to review the same document together at a readable size.

What to plan before ordering

Measure the wall and confirm it can carry the weight of the chosen size.
Book a free site survey with SmartRooms Qatar before wall-mounting an 86-inch panel that weighs 72 kg.
Confirm the room conditions, including glare and heat near windows, with the SmartRooms Qatar team, because the manufacturer data does not list an operating temperature range.
Check licence requirements if your team plans to use the IdeaMax software.
Tell us if your organisation buys through purchase orders or government tenders, including Monaqasat.

Because the TRUTOUCH UB Series is discontinued, request a quote that names the size and features you need, and SmartRooms Qatar will suggest a current equivalent or compatible replacement. Quotations are usually issued within one working day, so request a quote today.

Questions about TRUTOUCH UB Series

Is the Newline TRUTOUCH UB Series still sold?

No. The manufacturer has discontinued this series, so it is no longer offered as a new product. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Tell the team which size you need, 65, 75 or 86 inches, and describe the room, and they will suggest options with a quotation usually issued within one working day.

What sizes and display areas did the series come in?

The series came in 65, 75 and 86 inches. The active display area is 1428.5 x 803.5 mm for the 65-inch model, 1650.5 x 973 mm for the 75-inch and 1895 x 1066 mm for the 86-inch. Use these figures to check whether an existing wall space or a replacement panel fits your room before you request a quote.

How much does each size weigh, and why does it matter?

The 65-inch model weighs 43 kg, the 75-inch weighs 57 kg and the 86-inch weighs 72 kg. Weight determines the wall structure and the lifting equipment needed. Schools and offices in Doha, Lusail or Al Khor should confirm wall load with a site survey before fixing a panel, especially the 86-inch size.

Does the TRUTOUCH UB Series support 4K UHD?

Yes. All three sizes are listed with 4K UHD resolution, and the manufacturer describes the range as Ultra-HD LED multi-touch displays. For a boardroom presenting detailed spreadsheets, maps or engineering drawings, 4K gives more fine detail than full HD. The manufacturer data does not list other input or connectivity details, so confirm these with the quotation.

How many people can write on the screen at the same time?

The manufacturer states that multi-touch allows multiple team members to work on the screen at once. The data does not give a maximum number of touch points, so ask the SmartRooms Qatar team to confirm the exact touch capability before comparing with other models. In a group session, several people can mark up the same document together.

Do participants need to install software on their laptops?

No. The manufacturer states that annotating images and using a basic whiteboard application works without downloading software to participants' own devices. This helps when visiting teams arrive with guest laptops and IT permissions are limited. The panel's built-in tools handle annotation, so staff can start a session without installing anything.

Do the pens need batteries or charging?

The pens are tech-free, so they contain no batteries, electronics or charging requirements. Users can also draw, move and interact with a finger. This matters in schools, where styluses are often lost, because the display keeps working without one. Ask the SmartRooms Qatar team whether spare pens are included in your quotation.

Is the IdeaMax software included with the display?

The manufacturer data says the TRUTOUCH line is optimised to work with Newline's IdeaMax software, and its website offers an IdeaMax licence. The data does not confirm whether a licence is bundled with the hardware. Ask for the licence status in your quotation so your ICT team knows whether an additional licence is needed.

Which size suits a classroom in Al Wakrah or a small meeting room in Doha?

The 65-inch model, with a display area of 1428.5 x 803.5 mm and a weight of 43 kg, suits a classroom or small meeting room where people sit close to the panel. A private school in Al Wakrah fitting out a standard classroom could choose this size. Check seating distance and wall space against the display area before ordering.

Which size is best for a boardroom or lecture hall in Qatar?

The 86-inch model is the largest option, with a display area of 1895 x 1066 mm and a weight of 72 kg. It suits a boardroom in West Bay or a lecture hall where many people need to read the same content. Because of its weight, arrange a free site survey before mounting so the wall, bracket and access route can be checked.

Can it be installed near a window or in a hot lobby in Qatar?

The manufacturer data does not give an operating temperature range or an environmental rating, so suitability for sunlit or hot areas cannot be confirmed from it. Summer temperatures in Qatar can exceed 45 C, so plan for air-conditioned rooms and confirm the exact environment during a site survey before any installation.

Can a government body buy the TRUTOUCH UB Series through an LPO or tender?

Yes. SmartRooms Qatar accepts purchase orders (LPOs) and supplies government tenders, including Monaqasat, with payment by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Because the series is discontinued, a tender should name the replacement model or the specification required. Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but warranty terms are not listed here, so confirm them in the quotation.
