Touchscreen T5 Business 98

A 98-inch 4K touch display that is no longer in production

The OneScreen Touchscreen T5 Business 98 is the largest model in its series, with a 98-inch panel that turns an entire wall into a writing and presentation surface. The manufacturer has discontinued this model. This page is written for organisations that already own one, buyers comparing it with newer displays, and anyone who needs a replacement for a unit in service. SmartRooms Qatar can quote a current equivalent or a compatible replacement.

Display and touch performance at this size

The panel is a 4K UHD screen with 3840 x 2160 resolution, a 60 Hz refresh rate and an original LG IPS LED panel. Brightness is rated at 400 cd/m² or higher, and the 178° viewing angle keeps the picture readable for people seated at the sides of a long room. The high colour gamut supports 1.06 billion colours at 10-bit depth, which helps when slides contain photographs or charts.

Touch uses 20-point infrared technology, so several people can write at once with a finger or the included stylus. Accuracy is rated at 2 mm and response time is below 8 ms. The anti-glare glass has an 8 MOHS surface rating, a hard surface suited to daily pen and finger use.

Built-in Android and the connections a large room needs

Android 6 runs on a quad-core A53 Cortex processor at 1.5 GHz, with 2 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. Inputs include three HDMI, one VGA, one DisplayPort, audio, microphone, YPBPR and AV, and outputs include HDMI, SPDIF, AV and earphone. For networking and control, the panel has a camera USB port, RS232, two RJ-45 ports, Bluetooth 4.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi with three antennas.

Five multimedia USB ports work in dual mode and switch automatically between Android and an OPS PC during use, so a presenter can move between the two without changing inputs. The built-in Dolby stereo speakers are rated 15 W plus 15 W.

Software, mounting and planning for a panel this size

• Software: OneScreen Write, eShare, Hype, Swap, Annotate and Navigate. Annotate and Navigate need a PC.
• Remote management: emergency notifications, firmware upgrades and screen control.
• Mounting: a flush VESA 800 x 400 wall mount is provided.
• Weight: 396.83 lbs (about 180 kg) for the panel and 451.95 lbs in shipping packaging.
• Size: 88.66 x 52.73 x 4.25 inches overall.
• Power: AC 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz, which covers Qatar's 240 V mains.

A panel of this weight needs a sound wall and a planned delivery route. SmartRooms Qatar provides free site surveys, so the wall, lift access and cable route can be checked before a quote is confirmed. The source data does not list an operating temperature range, so confirm room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before placing the screen near glass or in a space that is not air-conditioned.

Where this model fits in Qatar

A corporate boardroom in West Bay, where executives join video calls with teams abroad, can use a 98-inch panel to show a document and a remote participant side by side. A university lecture hall in Education City needs a display that students in the back rows can read, and the touch surface lets a lecturer annotate slides in front of the class. A training room in the Industrial Area, where a supervisor runs a PC application and mobile content on one screen, can use the OPS switching to avoid changing inputs.

Ordering for an organisation

Organisations can order by purchase order (LPO), including for government tenders, and pay by bank transfer, cheque or purchase order. Quotations are usually issued within one working day. Because this model is discontinued, the most useful details to send are the room size, the wall, your current inputs and the software you need.
