Touchscreen T5 Education 98

A 98-inch 4K touch display for large rooms

The Touchscreen T5 Education 98 is the largest panel in OneScreen's T5 Education family, which also includes 55, 65, 75 and 86-inch models. It pairs a 98-inch 4K UHD screen at 3840 x 2160 resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate with 20-point infrared touch, so a lecture hall or boardroom can be run from the front of the room. OneScreen has discontinued this model, so the information below is for organisations that already own one, buyers comparing it with newer panels, and anyone looking for a suitable replacement.

Touch, picture and built-in computing

• Touch: 20-point infrared touch that works with a finger or the included stylus, rated at 2mm accuracy with a response time under 8ms.
• Picture: 0.5622mm pixel pitch, 178 degree viewing angle, brightness of at least 400 cd/m², and 10-bit colour with a high colour gamut.
• Android computing: Android 6 with 2GB RAM, 64GB storage and a quad-core A53 processor running at 1.5GHz.
• PC switching: five multimedia USB ports that auto-switch between Android and an OPS PC during use.

Connections and included software

Inputs include three HDMI, one VGA, one DisplayPort, audio, microphone, YPBPR and AV, with HDMI, S/PDIF, AV and earphone outputs. Networking covers two RJ-45 ports, dual-band Wi-Fi on 5GHz and 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth 4.0, plus RS232 for control. The software set covers Google Play access with multi-user login, remote management for emergency notifications, firmware updates and screen control, and OneScreen Write, eShare, Hype and Swap. Hype and Swap each include a 1-year subscription for 50 licenses. Annotate and Navigate are perpetual licenses that require a PC. Education software with a subject toolbar and K-12 lesson plans is an optional extra.

Where a 98-inch panel fits in Qatar

A university lecture hall in Education City, where students in the back rows need to read slides clearly and the lecturer can annotate them directly from the front of the room.

A ministry boardroom in West Bay or Msheireb that holds regular video meetings with teams abroad, where the Android platform and collaboration software can share documents with remote participants.

A private school hall in Al Rayyan used for assemblies and staff training, where the 15W+15W Dolby stereo speakers suit a room of moderate size, and the acoustics should be checked for larger halls.

Planning a 98-inch installation

• Wall mount: a VESA 800x400 flush wall mount is included.
• Weight: 396.83 lbs for the panel and 451.95 lbs for shipping, so plan for a trained installation team and a checked wall or frame.
• Dimensions: 88.66 x 52.73 x 4.25 inches; shipping box 99.4 x 68.9 x 17.2 inches.
• Power: AC 100-240V, 50/60 Hz input, which covers Qatar's 240 V, 50 Hz mains. Confirm the plug type for BS 1363 sockets.

Because of the size and weight, SmartRooms Qatar offers a free site survey before mounting, and professional installation is available. The source data does not give an operating temperature range, so confirm the room environment with the SmartRooms Qatar team before choosing a location, especially for lobbies with large windows or dust exposure.

Discontinued model: request a quote for a current equivalent

Because OneScreen no longer makes the Touchscreen T5 Education 98, the practical next step is to tell SmartRooms Qatar the room size, the mounting wall and the quantity you need. Our team will recommend a current equivalent or a compatible replacement. Quotations usually follow within one working day, and purchase orders (LPOs) and government tenders are handled in the usual way. Request your quote today and include your site details so the quotation matches your room.
