Touchscreen T6 Education 98

A 98-inch 4K touch display for large teaching spaces

The OneScreen Touchscreen T6 Education 98 is the largest panel in its series. It uses an LG panel at 3840 x 2160 (4K) resolution with a 60 Hz refresh rate, 400+ cd/m2 brightness and a 178-degree viewing angle both horizontally and vertically, so people seated at the sides of a big room can still read the same slide. The manufacturer has discontinued this model, so this page is written for organisations that already run one, buyers comparing it with newer models, and anyone who needs a replacement.

Touch, pen and writing features that matter in class

Touch runs on an infrared system with 20 touch points, 3 mm touch accuracy and a response time of 2.5 m/s or better. Palm detection lets a teacher rest a hand on the glass while writing, and the system separates pen input from finger input. Annotation works over any connected source, so a teacher can mark up a lesson plan, a spreadsheet or a web page without leaving it. The surface is 8 MOHS anti-glare glass, and the box includes two pens and an extendable pen for reaching the top of a large screen.

Connections, sound and the optional OPS PC

The panel has three HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort, a VGA input with separate audio, a microphone input and two touch USB ports. Two USB ports sit at the front and three at the rear, with RS232 and RJ45 for control and networking. Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4G/5G) includes a 5G hotspot. Two 15 W Dolby speakers with automatic volume control handle the audio, and a headphone output is listed. An optional OPS PC with an Intel Core i5 7th Gen or i7 9th Gen processor, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD can run Linux or Windows, and optional 1080p web and PTZ cameras add video.

Where a 98-inch panel fits in Qatar

• Lecture theatres in Education City: large rooms where back-row students must read dense diagrams while the lecturer presents from a laptop.
• School halls in Al Sadd or Al Rayyan: multipurpose halls used for assemblies, bilingual presentations and exam briefings.
• Government training rooms in Msheireb: briefing rooms where presenters move between Arabic and English material and a remote team joins by video.

What to plan before you order

Check these points before the panel arrives. The VESA pattern is 800 x 400, and the product weighs 296.5 lbs (about 134.5 kg) with a shipping weight of 399.6 lbs, so the wall, bracket and fixings should be checked before delivery. Product dimensions are 87.9 x 52.3 x 4.3 inches. The power supply accepts 100-240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, draws up to 450 W and uses 0.5 W or less on standby. The source data does not give an operating temperature, so confirm room conditions with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installing, particularly in a hall with large windows in summer when temperatures exceed 45°C. Our free site survey covers the wall, the route for the crate, cable runs and power outlets.

Discontinued model: request a quote for an equivalent

Because this model is discontinued, the most useful step is to tell us what your room needs: the screen size, the wall mount you already have, the connections your teachers use, and whether you need the OPS PC or cameras. SmartRooms Qatar will recommend the closest current equivalent or a compatible replacement and set out the details in a quotation, usually within one working day. Request a quote today and include your site location and any tender reference.
