VCC22
Yealink VCC22 Full HD 12x Zoom Conference Camera
The Yealink VCC22 is a discontinued HD PTZ camera built for the Yealink VC800 video conferencing system. It captures 1080p60 video through a 12x optical zoom lens, and one VC800 can drive up to eight of these cameras for large rooms. Power and control run over a single PoE network cable. Qatar organisations that already own it can still request a quote for a current equivalent or compatible replacement.
What the VCC22 is and who still needs it
The Yealink VCC22 is a pan, tilt and zoom camera for group video conferencing, designed to work with the Yealink VC800 video conferencing system. It combines an HD CMOS sensor with a 12x optical zoom lens and captures video at 1080p60. Yealink has discontinued this model and stopped accepting new orders after its end-of-sale date in November 2021, so it is mainly relevant to organisations that already run a VC800 and need an extra camera or a spare.
Camera control and multi-camera layouts
One VC800 supports up to eight VCC22 cameras, a 1+8 arrangement that covers large rooms without blind spots. The system can merge images from several cameras into one multi-image video for the far side, and it offers layouts including one-plus-N, N-by-N and full screen. Camera selection and layout changes can be made from the CTP20 collaboration touch panel, the CP960 conference phone, a remote control or another control device. Up to 99 presets let a presenter return to a fixed framing with one command.
Power and cabling over one network cable
- Power over Ethernet carries power, video and control on a single cable.
- Standard RJ45 network cable runs of up to 100 metres are supported.
- Fewer separate power outlets are needed near the camera position.
The cable must connect to a PoE switch, so the planning starts in the comms room. Check that a switch port is available and that the run length suits the room layout before ordering.
Where it fits in Qatar
- Ministry or authority boardroom in Doha: a second camera added to an existing VC800 to widen coverage of the table and presenter area.
- Lecture theatre or seminar room in Education City: presets return the camera to set framings during long sessions, and the presenter can be followed across the room.
- Hotel conference room in West Bay or Lusail: hybrid meetings with teams abroad, with the layout changed from a touch panel by event staff.
What to plan before you order
Because the model is discontinued, start by confirming the VC800 model in the room and how many cameras it will drive. Measure the mounting position and the distance to the furthest seat, since a 12x optical zoom frames a limited field of view. The source data does not give an operating temperature range or environmental rating, so confirm the location with the SmartRooms Qatar team before installing near windows, in a lobby or in any space without air conditioning, where summer temperatures in Qatar regularly pass 45°C.
Yealink's end-of-sale notice says software support continues for a limited period after the sale date, that new features will not be developed, and that spare parts and hardware repair depend on local distributors and stock. Ask for the current support position when you request a quote.
To check whether a current equivalent or compatible replacement suits your VC800 room, request a quote from SmartRooms Qatar. We will review your room layout and existing equipment, offer a free site survey, and send a quotation, usually within one working day.
